He was more animated than Obama, don't know what you were looking at. McCain does limp as a result of his stay in the Hanoi

but I noticed several time where he remained standing while Obama was speaking.

Yea, I noticed he was walking around slow and stiff looking. They say for every year a person is in the Presidential Office, it adds four years to them mentally and physically. So by 2012, his age would be equivalent to a man that's 88. You better hope Palin is everything she's cracked up to be. If he gets elected, I'll take the Vegas odds and say he has a stroke by 2010.

The "buy back" is ridiculous. My homevalue is down almost $100,000, but because we bought responsibly and can still afford our payments, we get nothing.
McCain is finished, is it too late to get Mitt Romney back in

I really don't think he is finished. That is what they said about bush twice, and he was trailing in the polls by significantly higher margins (if I remember right) at this point of time. Wasn't he trailing by around 8 or 9 points. And it is hard to say this, but kerry and gore are far more competent than obama is.

McCain walks the same way he has since being released from the POW camp.

Hope for the best and plan for the worst. We are implementing plan B, "If you can't beat them join them" financial strategy at this point but I am not giving up hope. Bottom of the 9th, down by 3, runners on first and third, two outs with the pitcher coming to bat as far as I am concerned. It isn't over but I don't like our odds.

So McCain is inching closer and closer to Socialism regarding his financial strategies (which you say is the main reason you hate Obama), but that's OK because he's Republican? Good one. Let's just vote along party lines even though it contradicts your beliefs and viewpoints.

McCain is being McCain, he has always joined them. Remember who makes these polls, there is a lot of play in these polls, they are really small samples, how does 1000 or even 3000 (what most of these sample are) reflect on what 70 - 100 million voters. They are weighed pretty heavily democratic. I don't worry about them that much. A typical template of the democrat media is to take an isolated incident and portray it as a commonplace. Anecdotally have you noticed that Obama and his "record crowds" aren't getting reported? But Palin is getting them. I think we have a long month ahead of us politically, but McCain is hardly out of it. (he isn't carrying his own bags yet, when that happens then he is done)

I do hope your right...And like I told my brother, he was certainly trailing Giuliani and Romney and even Huckabee before the primaries started. I was a little disheartened when I was on MSN and I voted that Mc won the debate only to see he was down 15% of the votes to Obama.

Look where you are going to "vote". I'd bet you that they have a high flow of liberal traffic. Just like if you look on Drudgereport. McCain is leading that poll by 33%, a place where a lot of conservatives browse the news. Because drudge has been labled a right wing nut, the average liberal doesn't go there.
Lets face it, unless you've had your head in the sand, there was nothing said last night that would really sway an undecided voter. I've heard all the arguments before (minus the McCain camp pointing out how Obama and the dems fought against tightening the laws for fanny and freddy.) And people who are already in the respective camps would vote for their candidates no matter what.
BTW I'm not saying McCain is going to win, but this is far from over. You are just listening to people who have a clear cut agenda report there "news" as they say it is.

Looks like it will be a landslide victory for Obama.
It's gonna be harder to rig this election this time.
I agree with the rigging part ,apparently the Obama/Ayers built ACORN is being exposed for exactly what it is.

McCain just said that he wanted to require the government to buy ALL of the houses that are near foreclosure and renegotiating the price to the homeowner to take into account the depreciation of real estate. In other words, the government would buy thousands, possibly millions of homes and reselling them to the homeowner at a financial loss. Is he serious? Is this a serious proposal or is it a lie to get votes? If he is serious, this would be many times more expensive than Obama's expansive health care program.
From what i understand this money is already available from the US Federal Housing Authority and some of the money from the bailout could be used .McCain proposes to take care of homeowners first then deal with WallStreet. So in a nut shell NO NEW TAXES to pay for this, the money is already there.

It had nothing to do with his slight limp. He just looked like a tired old man.

I actually think that McCain did a better job than he did in the first debate. He got rid of those stupid, scripted catch phrases that he and Palin relied upon so heavily in the first round, (ie. "maverick", "I didn't win Miss Congeniality in Congress...", etc.). Maybe all of the Saturday Night Live style satire told these two that those lines were far from persuasive. He appeared more genuine last night than in the past.
My biggest criticism, again, is this insane home purchase idea. Not only is it going to cost the government a gazillioin dollars (I think that's a real number) but it is a guaranteed loss, not a potential investment.
The idea also suggests to me that I made a serious mistake by purchasing a house I could afford and getting a 30 year fixed loan. I should have bought a $500K house with an adjustable rate, interest only

[hr]
and then I'd only pay on it periodically. Who's offering to reimburse the depreciated value of my house???

The unfortunate truth of the matter is that if something isn't done then a lot of families that got into bad Mortgages are going to have their home put into forcloser and the banks will be left with home that are worthless or a loss . What is going to be better for the banks a small loss or a total loss that will in turn add more to the problem.
