Hey as a side note Corey.....The Loctite Marine mix is a bad deal for us.....The PC Marine I listed you can get at Ace Hardware stores for sure, and also JB Water Weld is another option that has been used an is for potable water sources as well.....Lowes carries the JB Water Weld, I picked some up first thing this morning.....My super glue idea didn't fare to well, when I was moving the sections placing them into the water vat......

Not sure about the hydrogen peroxide......The bleach will kill a lot more than the peroxide would......I might go to a quick acid bath or possibly a vinegar bath.....The vinegar is a bit less aggressive than the acid bath......So far the bleach bath is decent.....Water a bit cloudy still, but that's what I was expecting......I have to dig up a chlorine test and a phosphate test and run in fresh water and see what the results look like.....I'd like to get my hands on some Seakler and called the local pool places, but they are all closed for the season........
Oh I thought you were looking for a way to neutralize the bleach. What's the Seakler for?

What are your plans for it? I think those liquid products are simply just binders, they don't actually physically break down the phosphate. They just bind them together so that they can be caught by the sand filter for pools where they can be later backwashed out of the system.

The Seaklear is what people are running to actually bind the phosphate.....Basically it's a watered down version of Lanthanum Chloride........

Basically was going to do a bleach bath/dip and then fresh water run, and then get my paws on some SeaKlear before aquascaping the tank, and at that point I have dual reactors already setup to run GFO.....Trying to save running tons of GFO.......

Thanks......Relatively cheap compared to stuff marketed for tanks in the LFS.....Plus that bottle goes a long way.......

Be careful, too much surface agitation and your bleach will be ineffective after 24 hours. Also make sure you aren't heating the water at all. Many people think that if they get some really hot water and put some bleach in it and mop their floors that they are doing really good - when in fact the heat makes the bleach ineffective. Same thing with a pump generating heat. Just throwing that out there. If you want to, make sure you keep adding a small amount of bleach for every 24 hours that you have them soaking in it to make sure it stays consistent.

I've been watching all of your videos on youtube... very impressive so far.
Some day I'll have an in-wall tank myself - as long as I can get an education and a career going... lol. Maybe you can come down to LA for some vacation time one summer and help me build a nice large acrylic tank. :D

Thanks for the tips.......No heater at all in the tub.....The only heat it will get is what the pumps generate, plus it's about 40 degrees inside the garage, and not much warmer during the daytime......I've already used about 1/2 gallon of bleach so far and been adding a bit here and there.....

Thanks old buddy!!!!!! Actually my mom & dad had 2 extra ones sitting around collecting dust, so before hurricane weekend I drove down to their place and stole 1.......Actually had intentions of using my granddaughters kiddie pool, but figured I'd get an ear full, so the pond was a better alternative......I initially started with a 10:1 ratio......Bleach/water........Then got crazy cause I couldn't smell it and just started adding as I pleased more or less.....Have to get the dechlorinator ordered here shortly......

Yeah, hopefully it will be sooner than later. lol. I graduate in May of 2015... Hopefully start a career by then and should have some good prospects of getting a mortg@ge for a house after that. Who knows.
I'll also be setting up a tank in my classroom when I get one. Not sure of size yet, but I'm going to look into grants for starting one. :D
