Yeah, hopefully it will be sooner than later. lol. I graduate in May of 2015... Hopefully start a career by then and should have some good prospects of getting a mortg@ge for a house after that. Who knows.
I'll also be setting up a tank in my classroom when I get one. Not sure of size yet, but I'm going to look into grants for starting one. :D

Yeah, one day I'll visit you up there and you can take me on a tour of the town. Never been up higher then Tennessee myself. lol. It would be a fun trip.
You'll have to come down with your family one of these days... we've been friends too long not to see each other in person one of these days. Maybe at MACNA at one point?? I won't be able to go to next years MACNA in Florida though.

Quick update......Drained the rock tub and rinsed and refilled and running the rock in straight RO water.....Rock actually looks pretty good, and removed a lot of gunk.......

I think Shawn has mentioned several times through the thread that he will be building a DIY LED fixture... I know that's going to be a fun read. :D

Shawn what pages are your lights on or haven't you decided yet?
I've talked a bit about lighting ideas.....But haven't built anything yet....I've gone as far as building/working on the movable light rack that will support the lighting.....I've been tossing ideas off of Corey and Seth and still not sure if I'm going to go 100% LED.....Another part of the build I'm straddling the fence on still......

I don't see anything wrong with it. Not unless your goal is to prove that great growth and fantastic color can be had without them. Fact of the matter is that there are some great bulbs out there. Why should we deny our tanks of having a little bit of the best of everything? I still haven't given up on thoughts of adding two T-5's into the canopy just to give me a broader range of capability for color and light blending options.

I knew it was a DIY but didn't know if there were any "novels" about the scope of the project. I can tell you I have t5 supplementing my LEDs. I like the combo look

Sorry!!!! Been lazy, to much work, trying to recover from being away from home, and with the holidays approaching, my somewhat disorganized clutter has been stashed away for the time being....Actually I've been ordering in rock and hopefully shortly have time to start working on rock layouts and such.....
