44 Gallon Hex Reef

The tank looks worse because everything is being fragged. Going to make this a Xenia only tank.

I refuse to take pics with my crappy camera. I am currently making room for a couple of new additions.

130 watts of PC and 48 watts of T5. Xenia will do better with stronger lighting but I think it is more important that the xenia likes your tank. The xenia in my DT has taken off but I put a frag of it in my frag tank and it melted.

Don't they smell good when you frag them! I just got to experience that for the first time today.
When you get the good camera again you should post some more.

Hey Jerry, nice looking tank and cute kitty.
I have always wanted a hex or pent, but have not sold the wife on it yet. ha ha ha ha
Just a word of caution with the pom pom xenia, it took over my tank. A friend gave me one little pice the size of a thumb. 1 year later this is what I eneded up with. I harvest all the time and still is not enough!
Good luck.
lol
when i do my 220gal there will be no xenia!
this is what my 75 gal looks like when they start to take over
its been 2 times this worse if i let it go awhile!

Brings back memories. My first SW was a 35 hex. https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/276001/one-year-ago-this-week
Nice looking tank!

Nothing beats a hex when you get new coral. People tell you to start off on the sandbed and you don't have room.

Wow - what a difference a good camera makes! Some of those pics are really spectacular - I love the "fraggle antenna" on the blenny, nice work, the tank looks great!

Man your Duncans are MASSIVE! I always thought hex tanks could never really look good, but you definitely did yours right. Looks great man.

Holy **** this tank has come along way jerry. I really like it. I know i have not been on in while, my tanks went through a bad period because i got a tridacna protozoa and all my clams withered away and i almost left the hobby. Now i am battling caulerpa and it is just getting annoying. Enough about me, your tank is looking GREAT!
