yea i believe 2 clown gobys are ok. idk about adding another fish. thats enough for my opinion. and congrats for your new frag. what lights do you have?

like you said before the 20 gallon doesnt have enough lighting but do you think it would b ok in there for 2 days higher up in the tank?....in the 5.5 i have a 25w corallife bulb thats enough lighting isnt it?

well i just set it up today so the water isnt really dechlorinized i but dechlorinizer in it do you think it would be ok by tomorrow after noon? and what is 50/50 sry but im new to all this lighting stuff

50/50 is white and blue in one bulb. and idk i think i would wait longer. then put the frag higher in the other tank. ask the other reefers on here. sorry

sure man no problem! lol. but man you need to get blue and white lights. but them as soon as you can. if you can tomorrow the better. ask your lfs if they have the same bulb that you have but for corals. like the gay 50/50 sorry lol

I agree with rebel (in the post earlier) you need to cycle your tank. It may only take a few days....If you think it is safe for corals try putting a dead shrimp in for 2-3 days and no ammonia should form. If it does form...you have your answer; it needs to cycle. But it should only take a couple of days after the ammonia spike if you used cured live rock/water/filter media from your other tank. The filter media is key here because thats where the water flows through and touches the most. I set up a 5.5 about 2-3 weeks ago; I used half of the 5.5 gallon worth of water from my tank and the other half newly mixed. I got a cured 5.5 lb live rock, and used crushed coral that i had already. And I took the chemipure filter media from my main tank that had been there for over a month (lots of beneficial bacteria to deal with the ammonia). Then I put a dead krill in it for 2.5 days. The cycle was over in 6 days. : )
