Sorry I just love tangs one of my favorites
Sorry for being so hard headed

I hope I didn't offend you. I understand about loving a type of fish, I love dwarf angelfish...so full of color, but I could only keep one, so I had to choose a favorite. If you do really love a certain fish, you have to love them enough to do what is best for them. Keep in mind your tank is their whole world, and it isn't fair to force them into a life that keeps them stressed and unhappy.
If a larger breed of tang is what you really want or multiple tangs...then you will have to get a tank that can accommodate them...or LOL...do it and not tell anyone like Siptang. But keep in mind if you run into trouble and you are honest about the tank so you can get some help...you will be found out, and beat with a wet noodle...LOL

I know YOU can take the pain of them biting you....Whan they mature, they also bite and kill everything else in the tank that is not as aggressive as they are. They even kill off each other. So you get a little pretty damsel, that grows up to be a beautiful demon fish. It's your tank and your choice, all I can do is tell you what to expect.

*****.com says hippo tang only needs 55 min.
Also any tang recommendations for 75gallon please add how many of each I could have of each tang species

Ok I just have to add my two cents... if I had to choose between taking the advise of people who actually have reef tanks and an employee at ***** I guess I would take the advise of people who have these tanks and care about fish being healthy and happy. I was given very wrong advise from a ***** employee, and so were you... they are just trying to sell you the dang fish and dont care what happens beyond that. The people on this site that take time from their day to answer your questions and get you started in a hobby you can enjoy are doing it because they truly care about the health of the fish/coral. You do what you want sunshine but personally this newby is listening and paying attention to people who have been there done that. Although I love those pretty little tangs, there wont be any in my new 75 gallon tank...
