Hey I read that guys post for the 750.gal now I'm getting one
after asking and asking my mom she's going to get me on and were getting it made from seaquariums who make custom aquariums up to 10,000 gallons and will come and maintain it as well as stock it due to what you want in it and get your equipment alot cheaper. So were getting it built there. I have a large stock list I know I can't get all of it but this is what I got on the list. Blueface angel, 2 volatain lionfish, Emperor angel, Majestic angel, queen angel, 2 copper banded butterflys, 2 longnose butterflys, 3 marron clowns, chainlink eel, 3 frogfish longlures, panther grouper, nurse shark (defenitly nurse shark), 2 minatus groupers, flying fish, 3 lookdowns, bicolor parrotfish, porcupine puffer, spotted sweetlips, blond naso tang, purple tang, 3 blue naso tangs, 3 yellow tangs, 2 sailfin tangs, powder brown tang, 2 HI black triggers, clown trigger, niger trigger, crosshatch trigger, unicorn tang, samuri squrriel fish, leaf fish, parrot fish princess, zebra lionfish, green moray eel. I'm getting good lights but not big exspensive lights for coral I'm having fake coral but still there is the skimmer and filter so hope I have good luck.

Well that's no fun, that's hardly a hobby, just staring at fish. Part of the fun is the maintaining of the aquarium. That's how you learn.

YUP, like something I learned tonight....that a little piece of algae sheet in your overflow can mess with your water levels....I CHECKED EVERYTHING before I found it..

So I am a little down on maintenance right now....

i guess all you guys are right and i can see both sides but if you can talk your mom into buying you a 750 gallon tank setup you could most liklyu talk her into porshe if thats spelled right lol you get what im sayin lol good luck and post lots of pictures to make the rest of us drewl.

You need to do more research on your fish list. Lions dont mix with triggers. Triggers puffers and angels dont mix with sharks.
The shark will out grow that tank anyway. Id drop the shark and the lions have a trigger angel mixture. Drop the clown unless you can rehome it when it gets huge so it doesnt kill everything.

I'm trying to figure out how its supposedly 'less expensive' for the equipment. They are going to charge about the same for the equipment and bookoo $$$ for the setup and maintenance. They are doing it as a business so they are def. making a good bit of change. Ive looked into them too, as I live in WA and wanted a custom tank made, but its more economical to get in touch with the large aquarium builders and order the equipment through their wholesalers.
I think part of the fun is setting up the tank, not necessarily the maintenance of the tank. The other thing to think of is sure they will put a nurse shark in there for you, they will probably put anything in there you want, and then when it eats the smaller fish, they will charge you for a new smaller fish to replace it,,,,,
And also who are you using for the fake corals?

If your into shelling out large amounts of money anyways,,, these guys do a stellar job....

I think you should get another green moray and a tessalata. Then you could have one 5 foot eel on each side of the tank and one in the middle. They could look after your fish and make sure they only get eatin by them and nothing else.
A green moral will kill everything in your tank dude. They get 7 feet long. Settle down. Do some your homework then come back on here and have a legit list. Not something from sea world.

This kid told me I was making people think the wrong stuff when I said SFE won't do good in a 55g, but yet he posts this stuff.

Just once I would like to get home and just LOOK
at my fish...Imagine coming home and not having to clean....the spot on the glass, the pre-filters, the micron filter pad, the skimmer cup etc etc, and this is the stuff we do almost daily
OH it's a dream I know

I would hate that. I can't wait to get home to tinker with my system. That is fun to me.

+1, I like doing all the stuff with my systems so I can learn more about it and know my system, not have a company do it and then when something happens panic and spend more money for them to come out and fix it. learning and working with your system is what this hobby is about. but if your mom wants to pay for all of it then go for it, doesn't seem too exciting to me.
