Ok, first off, I have good news, I just inherited $80000 from a dead aunt that I've never met, no i will not tell you where I live... so once January comes, my new tank will KICK ASS!!!
Anyway,
I sold my car for 3 grand today, and I have set aside 500 to spend on my aquarium.
Heres what I gots:
20 high,
50/50 flouresent lighting
20 lbs live rock,
30 lbs live sand
5 nassarius snails,
5 blue leg hermits
1 large cinnamon clown
1 bicolor psuedochromis
1 watermelon mushroom coral
buncha hitchhikers
penguin 170 filter
Now,
with 500 bucks, and keep in mind I am really cheap, so I will probably do the trading forum and order online and all of that,
what would YOU guys add to this tank?
(keep in mind, I want to make it reef)

I would get a 150 watt hqi metal halide pendant with a 20000k bulb from hello lights dot com and that will be kick butt lighting!! Then I would get a skimmer like the aquac remora or something. If you want to diy something then set up a fuge under your stand.

Well, here's the story, aunt babe, i guess that was a nickname or something, left 1/10th of 1/2 of her money to my dad in february, but my dad died in april, and he left 1/3 of all of the cizash to me, the other 2/3 to my brother and sister.. ANYWAY, believe me or not, I don't care, we could just pretend it's hypothetical.
By January, when the money gets handed out, thats the kickass tank I'm talking about, Now I'm talking about 500 of the 3000 from my car that the wife is allowing me to spend on my tank.
I also have a 5 gal mini bow, with nothing in it. I was thinking of maybe turning that into a coral farm.
Anyway, sorry i wasn't specific- don't be so sceptical

Better yet...Spend the $500 on the Mrs...:yes:
That way she'll be so glossy eyed by your selfless act of generosity, that she'll never notice the $5,000 you dropped on the "kick ass" tank....

hahaha, i wish my hubby spent 500 on me... thats a great idea by the way, im sure she wouldnt care after that :D
