So I have had this three stripe for a few months and it hasnt done anything to my current tank inhabitants (a clown, another damsel, and a royal gramma) its been very skittish and shy actually. but I tried to add a bicolor angel yesterday and the three stripe went after it for a few hours and the angel went into hiding. I didnt think it would make it through the night it was so stressed but its still alive today peeking out every once in a while but staying in hiding. Any suggestions on what to do besides removing the three stripe? I could do this but would rather not try and catch him in my 55 gallon. Maybe i could get another fish or a few like him to take his attention away from the bi color? thanks.

If the damsel is larger than the angle, the only thing you can do is get rid of the damsel. You could also buy a larger angle and the damsel will back down after a few tries. I keep a large black domino damsel with two angles and they are getting along fine.

The damsel MUST go, there's no getting around it. You could move all the LR to one side of the tank and net him. Some people have tried to make a trap out of a plastic bottle but that's never worked for me. There are several threads on it. If it were me I'd just take the plunge, move ther LR, and chase him down. And if there's anything else that needs to be caught, like any othere damsels, get that over with while you're at it.
Good luck.
