all this live rock for $100

my cuzin is geting rid of all his fish stuff and he let me have this much LR for just $100. some of the rock has a blue thing check it out and how do i take care of it.

idk 100 for that much LR was too much IMO. MADD AIPTASIA! aiptasia X works best. it can be used right in your tank..
what size is your tank?
when is the last time you tested your water?
is that a jebo canister filter? looks like you have some hair algae..could be feeding on phosphates in your tank due from excessive feeding or poor filtration..
how often do you clean the canister filter?
what are you using for lighting?
looks like you need more flow..

505....I hope you can take criticism, because I'm not trying to offend you by the following statement. I don't think it was a good deal at all, but that's what cousin's are good for, right? The rock is a mixed bag of all kinds of stuff. I see Indo. rock, tonga, even looks like some homemade stuff in there, but none of it is very attractive. It will all work fine for base rock as long as you get rid of the aptasia and hide this rock under some better display pieces.

the rock in the tank now i just through it all in there just didnt want to put it all together.
i dont clean the canister filter because there isnt any thing to clean its just small balls. and yes i do need some more flow i just got 1 powerhead.
its not a jebo canister its a eheim i also got a over flowbox to. i got a 150g tank.my light i got sucks its just 300w. the protein skimmers i got i think its good its for a 250g.and for the aiptasia i got 2 pep shrimp all get more monday. o and im going to kick my cousin butt.

I hope you are not offended but go get your money back. For $100 you could go to your LFS and pick out a couple of pretty choice rock pieces already cured or even more choice pieces of base rock that will turn into live rock.

how many lbs. did u get..seems to me $100 for all that is not to bad....usually at a lfs $100 only gets u 25lbs...looks like u got over 50lbs..you would have the option of hand picking ur own lr at a lfs...is that crush coral u have for ur sand bed..

Looks like plenty of Rock for $100 bucks to me.
I've seen better deals, but its usually somebody desperate with a nice picture of the Rock sitting dry in an Igloo cooler below their now empty tank.

I think you got ripped. In my area excellent quality sells for 5 - 7 dollars a pound.
