An EXTREME test of 'thriftiness'

As much as I would like to do something like this, I just think I couldn't do it. After 3 weeks or so, I need to change razor because it starts to get dull and I hate that feeling on my skin. In fact, I hate shaving sooo much that I'm starting to consider laser hair removal

Either way, good luck!

ru, you have had the same one for 4 months? I'm only just passing 3 months, but so far it's good. It's not a "brand new blade" cut, but no signs of cuts or burns. I think the drying is working (so far).

I (how sad is this??) actually thought of this today at work. I was completely bored, because the store was so very slow, and was thinking of threads on here. This thread came to mind and I was wondering how the experiment was working out.
I have this affect on women

Update...
In response to my email submission (see above), I did get an acknowlegement email from Schick last week saying that they were forwarding my information on. Today I got a nice letter from Schick Consumer Services, along with a $2.00 off coupon, which I intend to use in the future. Not much, but if you average this into the cost of the original purchase of the razor pack, we are now talking about a $1.25 razor that I'm working with here.
BTW, 3 1/2 months in and still no problems...

No, I was thinking the same thing you were, but I was keeping my mouth shut.....just in case they want to come back later during this experiment and offer me a $1million deal, like Jared

im on month 3 again... think i will replace soon...

7 months down, and still cutting...

I laid off on my monthly updates because it was kind of boring, nothing really to report. But fear not...experiment is still underway and on course for a successful completion.

Woo hoo! You are a true hero to all of us cheap...... uh I mean us thrifty people.

Well, I need to start brainstorming the next "test". Not too many more months to go, so I'm open to suggestions...

....and no, it can't be how much newspaper you can save by only cleaning up dog poop twice a year or something

Hmmm could be a good challenge to think of. I mean, just how much toothpaste do you REALLY need to brush your teeth? How long can a tube last?

I like your line of thinking, but I'm already one of those that rolls up the toothpaste tube and squeezes every drop I can get

I got to get out of the bathroom for the next one....keep thinking

T, your as bad as me, lol.
I use razors for what seems like forever! Toothpaste habits are the same.
Sugar drives me crazy when I dump it into a container cause as long as I hear it, I know there's some left, lol.
I can't really think of any new challenges for you since everything disposable is in the bathroom.
You can try making your own laundry soap and seeing how much you save there!

I can relate with the sugar bag. Same with those big bags of dog/cat food....I can still hear some "rattle" in the creases, so I know there's one more piece in there somewhere

Haha! So true!
I hate when I have like 1/2 inch of pancake syrup left. I know I can use it on one pancake but I hate the almost empty bottle that uses a footprint of about 5 by 3 inches.
Now I'm torn... Save the syrup or use the 15 square inches for something better.
