what is the name of the corals that are on the left sode of the 55 gallon tank. How quick did they grow?

Corals on the left are a type of finger leather. That pic is well after I fragged it about 5 times and wedged the frags into little cracks in the LR all over the place. It grew like crazy. Could barely keep up with it. There is a close up of it ( the one where the gobies are perched on )
I am going to keep the 55 going I think for now...I may break it down eventually...if up keep on 2 tanks gets to be too much.

Its looken good i have a 55 with hopes of a bigger tank.
I am helping my brother build an 180 we just finished sanding the stand and will be stained this weekend.

So it has been about a mth and I am cycled and ready to start stocking. I have already transferred some of my crazy abundance of corals outgrowing my 55 ( leathers, branching frog, shrooms , zoos e.t.c ) to my 180.
I would luv to go with a trigger and some tangs... larger species..and also smaller fish...been researching and "reef safe" triggers exist on paper..however..any experiences? My LFS has a wicked looking Pinktail Trigger...tempted.and a nice sohoal tang..also want a decent clean up crew , hermits, snails e.t.c. Is this possible at all ? Or hit & miss
any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm interested in this too. Wonder if anyone has some experience with trigs in a reef with a cuc. The tank looks great so far! I'm doin a 180 as well, so it's great to watch, learn and get some ideas from someone else!

on a side note, I read a post a while ago about blending a couple of mushrooms up with tank water and pouring the mushroom "soup" into the tank and let the mushroom particles just float / land and do their thing.
The thought process behind this is to get them growing around the tank without having to individually frag and glue.
Well I tried this right after my cycle ( mushrooms are fairly hardy ) and it worked! I was closely looking in my tank yesterday and I have found about 5 pieces already that have attached to something and started growing a tiny mouth...and thriving. I will send pics later tonight.

Blue throats are reef safe. and i believe the pink tail is as well. I had a blue throat in my reef for a while but he quickly outgrew his home. Very cool fish with good personality

They just end up killing each other. They are not as mean as damsels but still pretty mean to each other.
