great! they do really well in pairs. But if you get a male and female just know that you can't "fix" chins. It would be very $$$ and risky!

i know, we should hopefully be going to the store to see about how much this is going to cost, and look at some of their chins.

I have a ferret And I'm considering a sugar glider . I have never owed a chin. But I hear they are great pets if you spend time with them.

yeah, i have heard that sugar gliders are great also. just make sure you keep the toilet shut! my teacher had one drown in the toilet bowl when her friend left it open, :(

YEa I have herd some horror stories about this . I'm reall hesitant about getting one. I feel bad for our ferret already. theres a lot of holes under cupboards in our new house . I'm affraid hell get in one and get out of the house. ANd I really don't want to put another animal thru beingstuck in a cage all the time.

yeah, theres always a risk with small fuzzy creatures lol. they are just so small (mostly) and can get into the smallest spaces and into all kins of trouble! i hope you can make a decision

Well I really have made a decision. It's to want one and think about it but follow my conceience and leave them to better suited homes .

my male chin got stuck in the wall once :scared:
the cable man had removed the plate cover for the cable pluggie thingie and my chin climbed in. THANK GOD that it was inbetween two studs so there was no where for him to go. He just looked at me and was like "Mommy help!!" he came up to the opening and I was able to pull him out. Boyfriend was ready to start tearing up the wall to get him. And needless to say that hole was fixed.
We had a ferret when I was a kid she got outside once and was gone for maybe a week but we found her hungry and dirty one day in the garage. However then one time she pulled up the floor vent and she didn't make it through that one, I won't say very much or I will cry but she fell one story down.
You have to be very careful with little fur balls. I think sugar gliders are so cute they make me sick to my stomach! Maybe one day I will try a couple.

those where in no real order but here is what they are:
1 - dust, I happen to like the scented type like this but any kind will do
2 - timothy hay chins need this, very important!
3 - carefresh bedding, nothing else!
4- timothy complete food, great stuff I would use nothing else
5- leaping ledges great for jumping, chewing
6- hay bin attachs to the side of the cage
7 - bath house for dust bath
8 - igloo make sure they have some type place to hide and sleep, I use this kind works well but there are all kinds use can use.
and of course you need a water bottle and a food bowl.
oh and don't forget treats!
I use this rule of tumb for treats, if it doesn't say chinchilla on it don't buy it!
All of this stuff is sold at petsmart/***** and they are carrying more and more chin stuff so it shouldn't be hard to find.
