Got this from UPG yesterday after asking them about it. (UPG = Marineland)

We can either replace your heater with a new Visi-therm Deluxe, glass style heater of equal quality and wattage, or we can refund your money for the heater. In either case, we would like to send a call tag to pick up the heater, at no charge to you. If you prefer to receive a refund, please provide us either with a receipt for your heater or a printout from your store or online retailer regarding what it would cost you to replace the heater, and we will refund the cost. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you have any questions, please let me know or call 1-800-338-4896.

Hmmmmm, arnt the Visi therms cheaper than the stealths? So they would still be making money on the recalls? I dont know what to do. Even if you were to trade them for the visi therms, you would have to send the stealths to them first, then wait to receive the new ones. What are you supposed to do to keep your tanks temp going until then? Go out and buy more heaters? I am thinking about just taking a chance on the stealths. BUT, at the same time, might just take them to ***** and hope that they have some replacements I can get while there.

I just called this 800#...they were very nice...all I have to do is fax them my receipt, they will then issue a call tag, and then a refund
I asked about the one that I threw away a couple of months ago...they said if I can supply them the receipt, and proof that they will refund that too. I found the thread I had on it, but I DID NOT post a pic....SO when I get home I am gonna see if I had taken a picture.....

HAHA....I could not find a picture...BUT FOUND something better, The burnt up heater..LOL...apparently I never threw it out
YAYYYYY...looks like I'll get credit for both

OKAY....I just faxed a letter and the 2 receipts to "United Pet Group"
SO, we will see how long this whole process takes.....They will have to issue me a call tag, and then when they get the heaters back, a refund.

Good luck Meowzer! I am going to order me 2 new ones online way cheaper than buying them at any store, then when those come in I will be making a trip to Pet-no. I talked to a manager there and he said that without a receipt, I can get store credit. Thats fine though, as there are many an equipment I can spend my money on!

Good luck finding any to order......they have all been pulled, and every site I have looked at says unavailable

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I faxed the invoices yesterday...thinking I was gonna get a label in the mail...LOL
WELL SOME guy from FED EX....just showed up to pick the heaters up.....ONE is still in the tank...HAHA.....he is gonna come back tomorrow
TALK ABOUT FAST!!!!

WELL...Now I have NO heater in the 225G....I am glad the weather has warmed up....my fish room is always on the warm side anyway....
I have 2 glass heaters I use with my w/c's..BUT I AM NOT putting them in this tank...noway haha
