I grew up with nothing but homemade pies, and I have to say that storebought pies are worthless and are only in it for the ice cream. Grocery stores are full of other "Worldly," desserts that best be avoided. Besides, storebought pies teach about preservatives and preservatives are evil

Look, we're not going down the cream pie-hole again. That's been covered before(in delicious creaminess). Fruit pies definitely win! Now I didn't bake a fruit or cream pie in Catholic school, that should be left to home school folks IMO, but I got to bake some bread instead.
Again a rhyme!
Such talent for a Catholic elementary, public high school, home schooled (we all are to a greater or lesser degree), private university, private sector - graduate!

I'll eat store bought pies. I'm not too proud to say it. I'm on a under $40,000 a year budget after all. I also eat a lot of fast food.
I LIKE FRIES!!!!

I know that people think that Catholics preach works over salvation, but I salavate every time I see a pie, so we're all the same right?

Isn't it Isaiah who wrote,
"Thus says the LORD: Observe what is right, do what is just; for my salavation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed."
And I remember singing a Psalm in Church recently, "The Lord is my rock and my salavation."

Well personally I think there is one major vote NO against homeshooling. Heeewww Finally got that out of my system.
I was going to mention pie eariler but I thought that LTS would bring up that coconut cream abomination. So as one of the stupid idiots who went to public school, even a (shudder) public college, I have to tell you that this dumb heathen loves chocolate cram pie. I don't know if I can ever eat bannana cream pie anymore. Thinking about how those poor bannanas are just sitting around dancing then BAM the next day they are a pie, oh those poor bannanas.

lol. the only pies i like are pumpkin pie and occasionally a chocolate pie. im more into icecream

Is a chocolate cram pie the kind you shove in someone's face? Now, I have a major problem with people just forcing their pies onto other people.

Well, if they have to cram a chocolate pie down your throat, that does mean that public school has failed. I mean really...this is beyond my ability to be non-judgemental. Its a friggin CHOCOLATE pie for cryin' out loud. Eat it willingly!!!

well, I guess my love for coconut cream pie happend when I gradiated public high school (looking pretty sleazy I might add) and went to a.......................p r i v a t e university . Where did they go wrong? I love cream pies!! Those Professors taught it to me...........

We're these the profs making less than $40,000 a year? Cause those no bake Jello cream pies are pretty cheap (aka economical). And that is probably where you went wrong.
I developed a love for Pizza Pies under similar circumstances.
Addicted every since.

Come to think of it...I do remember learning about pie in public school. I remember thinking my teacher must have been an idiot because he said, "Pie are squared," which is not only false, but is very poor grammar indeed. Crazy the stuff they teach you in public school. Square pie

If you were anywhere near me, I'd teach you how to make good pie. Flour is less than 50 cents a pound, it's not expensive to make from scratch, and the fruit is much tastier from fresh than from canned or frozen. Mmmmm Apple... Strawberry.... Even in our poorest times, we were never short on pie. When the budget was tight, we prefered to leave meat off the menu than give up pie.
I like Peach and Raspberry Jam and I'm off to make some right now!
