Thanks, some branch rock just looks like one big stick, but this had some great character to it. And you are right, the middle spot was perfect for it.
I wonder if it's done cycling! :hilarious

Are you using your liverock to cycle your tank? If you are let me know how it works out because I was planning to do the same. I also wanted to ask how that skimmer you have is. Is it easy to use? Is it efficient? How easy is it to clean?

I used live rock to cycle my QT and it worked out great. I took the lr out when I put my two clowns in. So I expect it to work just as well with my big tank. The skimmer works great and is super easy. I just twist off the top and rinse in the sink, using my sprayer to get all the gunk off, then return. Nothing to it really. I still can't figure out how it creates all those bubbles and leaves all that gunk behind, but it does. There is no mechanical piece besides the pump and that hooks up very easily to the skimmer. Once your sump is full of water plug the thing in and that's it. I highly recomend the ASM G2 Skimmer, it's made for tanks up to 150 gallons I believe. (I'll take picture after some gunk has built up so you can see. That's if I can get to it before my husband cleans it out, he's kind of a fanatic about keeping it cleaned out.

Well it could probably go a few days at this point, but it get's 1/4" full and hubby feels the need to change it. I don't say anything, just let him go ahead and do it. I'm the fish fanatic, so I'm happy he's taking interest, especially the gross part.
I did watch him clean it out to see how he was doing it and that stuff did SMELL! So, maybe it's good he's cleaning it out so often.

Oh, I know, I've seen the one's in my lfs and wow, talk about gross and smelly. But, if it's in my skimmer then it's not in my tank anymore.
This may sound weird, but can't wait for that to happen, bring it on.

I'll make sure to wear gloves and a gas mask.

So what size tank are you going to have?

So my two clowns, like I said are doing great. So great that I think they might have paired up, but I'm not sure. The first two nights the larger one slept above the return and the smaller one was at the bottom corner. Since then they have both been sleeping together, sideways on top of the return.
I posted this on another thread, but thought I would document it in my diary, as I think it's pretty cute. I only have one problem, I should probably change Marlin's name.

The sump is in full swing and doing it's thing. As you can see the skimmer is doing a good job pulling out the gunk in my tank. AND my Ammonia levels are starting to rise, 0.25.
So the cycle has begun!

I'm very impressed! Wish I could put something together that's similar, just can't afford it yet...

clowns will often hang out together when they are young, but when they start to become sexually mature, they may start fighting, especially if they are close to the same size. you may have a better % of them pairing tho being that they are together from the start. i dont know how old or mature your clowns are (usually takes about a year to become mature), so its hard to tell about this particular instance.

It looking good Azfishgal
I can't wait to see full pics of the tank with fish in it.
I still have my first fish from last June. Her name is Maya and she is a Maroon clown. She went through some tough times at the LFS getting harrassed and attacked by the other maroons. I got her to save her (not a good idea I know) but there was no damage yet so I went for it. She is the smallest of my fish and owns the tank.
