Im being serious. There were threats against Hank too. He is going to get shot or deffinatly booed in other stadiums. The only people that like him are the Giants fans. Most pitchers are walking him as they should. He is going to beat it but I just want him to go in the trash can after and all of this will be over.

Not yet because he hasnt broken the record. Yes some were because he was black but so is barry. I still think that barry will get threats no matter what. Hank also beat it fair and square. Barryy...... Yea.

Steroids were not very "popular" back in the day. He was tested for them and tested negative. He also did it in a longer time then Barry. Most people wouldnt think he did em.

Wait, Hank did take them at the age of 13. He got off at 15 way before baseball because he was vommiting and such.
To all of you that dont think bonds took em look at this. Aron is also being ok about it if it was vise versa Barry would be throwing fits.

In watching Barry Bonds' rapid ascent up the all-time home run chart in recent years, Hank Aaron took the position that records are made to be broken while saying his career mark of 755 homers has stood long enough.

But Aaron, who retired in 1976, now says he's troubled by Bonds' statements to a federal grand jury in which the San Francisco Giants slugger acknowledges using a clear and a cream substance he got from his personal trainer.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, which acquired transcripts of Bonds' November 2003 testimony in the case involving the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative, the substances he took were steroids. Bonds told the grand jury he thought he was taking flaxseed oil, a nutritional supplement, and a rubbing balm for arthritis and was not aware he was taking illegal performance-enhancing drugs.
"Any way you look at it, it's wrong," Aaron was quoted in Sunday's Atlanta Journal-Constitution. That's consistent with what he previously told USA TODAY when he said using steroids is cheating.
Aaron still lauds the accomplishments of Bonds, who set the season record of 73 homers in 2001 and has 703 overall, 11 shy of Babe Ruth for second and 53 shy of breaking Aaron's record.
But with some now questioning the legitimacy of Bonds' records and whether he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, the developments are "shedding a whole different light on the issue," Aaron told the Atlanta newspaper. "Is this thing involving Barry Bonds in the same category as the guy who gambled on baseball?" Aaron was referring to Pete Rose's banishment for betting on baseball as a manager.
Eligible voters of the Baseball Writers' Association of America (with 10 years of continuous tenure) will decide whether Bonds gets into the Hall of Fame.
"You don't have to make a decision today, and that's the good thing about it," Toronto Sun baseball writer Bob Elliott said. "There's a time frame (of five years after a player retires). You can wait and sit back and reflect on things and put them in perspective. By then, we'll know everything that's happened as opposed to snippets."

I didn't realize there were so many perfect people on this site that think they have the right to be so judgemental! We don't know what Barry has put into his body for sure. We don't know what the Babe and Hank put into theirs either. The real greatest player in baseball rarely gets enough credit. And that is Willie Mays and we don't know if he ever took anything either. People don't like Barry's attitude so they automatically don't like him. If he hasn't proven in the last few years of steriod testing that he is still out-hitting most players out there then I guess you would just rather listen to the all mighty media that loves to paint pictures of people in the most negative ways possible. I have personally met the man. He, does, now like to keep to himself. A lot of that has to do with how he has been percepted over the years. No, he is not perfect, no one is, but I know how he and the rest of the Giants organization treated my son when he was going thru his cancer treatments. And, I, personally feel he does deserve this record. You don't get this far without being a great player. I'm sorry for the ones on here that don't think he is worthy, but, that's because you don't know him and have only heard what you have wanted to hear. Everyone thinks the Babe is still the greatest player to have ever played the game, but, if you have ever read the non-fiction tales of him he was not a very nice person. Of course, I didn't know him so who knows the truth? All I know for sure is how the Giants, including Barry, Dusty Baker, Rob Nen, J.T. Snow, Kurt Rueter, Jason Schmidt and many others, made my son and my family feel like when we were in their presence during a very trying time in our lives. I, personally, can't wait until Barry breaks the record. He loves the game and he consistently performs. He deserves it and no one will convince me otherwise!
