Since the topic of criteria continues to be mentioned by one of the two finalists I have decided that I should use the criteria to supplment my vote.
Colors - Steveweast by a long shot
Rockwork - Once again Steveweast without a doubt
Lighting - Steveweast agian
Coral Selection - Are you kidding me? no contest Steveweast wins again...
So there it is....

why the f are people so rude on this message board. I mean really did you have to do that Jerthunter. You could of just said stevewest instead you did that. Are you kidding me? no contest Steveweast wins again...
What kind of bs is that. I would like to see what your tank looks like.

This thread was not to critisize tanks but to marvel at them if you want to bicker do it via email, phone, fax anything except this thread. Everyone had the option to put there tanks on this thread those who did not may still vote, Please Please PLEASE do not bicker over nothing. Again everyone's tanks are awesome!!!! KEEP VOTING

Any chance we can see more pics from both finalists? I am truly an admire of both tanks and would think it's only propper on behalf of the finalists!

I belong to the Wisconsin Reef Society and the Fox Valley Reef club, my profile, as you pointed out, was made 6 months ago when I started on here.

I totally agree Unbreakabl, but as you and most everyone else can plainly see, a very few troublemakers have ruined what fun this thread was supposed to be.
It’s actually quite sad for someone who claims in his profile to be almost 45 to have to come in here and start crap, then add a new screen name and continue to spout his crap and then go onto other boards that I belong to as a member of a club and start his same crap - grow up. I guess that’s the attraction of an anonymous keyboard for some who can’t make it socially out in the real world.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I am extremely hard-pressed to see how anyone would think that with several different corals and colors of corals including:
orange
blue
pink
peach
rose
emerald green
mint green
lime green
light green
teal
aqua
purple
red
yellow
to name a few, that it isn’t the more colorful – but, like I said, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I am pretty much done with this thread, let the troublemakers take it over as it’s no more fun anyway.

LMAO, i noticed you like to selectively answer posts. You skip any questions about the tank, its inhabitants, its setup history, additional photos, etc... while answering all supposed insults and responding to them with threats over the internet (now thats a tough guy!). You started all of this by responding to a simple question by zman with unsults and threats. Instead of posting more pathetic internet threats, post some more pics of that sweet tank

I joined 2 weeks ago.
I had dial up and just got road runner, so that is why I just joined (not that I need to prove who I am to anyone).
As far as my comment, I would have kept my mouth shut (or my fingers off the keyboard, however you want to look at it) except that you were being so argumentative.
I added fuel to the fire and apologize to Drewsta and the others for that. This indeed is a nice thread and I hope we do this again soon.

Not that I care, but anyone could post a pic from anywhere.
People can download them from other sites or take a pic at a LFS or public aquarium.
No way to know, Drewsta could ask for additional pics but still would not prove anything.
Steve has his own site and pretty well known but the rest of us.....
People who care could check the profiles or search past post of the ones who entered tanks and make up their own mind about it......
Because saltwater8 was in question, I did do a search of him/her and I have my own idea about it but still, does that prove anything ????
maybe....maybe not.

Wow, I didn't know that I was being so rude. If you want to see my tank it is posted in other threads, I did not post it here because I do not have a tank that could win a contest like this. It is a mere 65 gallons and very lacking in the coral department. I say nothing bad about the pictures of anyone else's tank I merely have stated that I am completely blown away by Steveweast's tank, not only the size but also by the way he has it set up. As for the reason why I mentioned each criteria and my choice in the field the answer is that it has been mentioned several times by the same person so I made the decision to answer each criteria from my opinion.
As to the color issue, it is my opinion, which doesn't really matter to anyone but myself, that the color criteria is not just about who has the most colors or the brightest colors but rather which colors look the best togather and are pleasing to the eye. That is my opinion but luckily my opinion only counts for one vote same as everyone elses...

so uh... is that saltwater8's tank or not? i don't mean to start MORE crap but we still don't know. oh and if it is your tank do you have a sandsifting goby because i have heard they keep the sand realy clean.

We have a diamond sleeper goby and he does a great job on the sand!
