BIO wheel!?

what has worked well for me is a fuge with a deep sand bed, cheato, small pieces of live rock, some mangroves, an aqua C Skimmer (that barely skims anything), a phos reactor with a very low flow rate thru the phos-ban (just enough to only stir up the very top), 2 returns and 1 powerhead. in the fuge, any micro bubbles are caught on a slanted divider before the sand bed. many people have success with many different ways. try to find what works best for you.

Random capitalization (or lack thereof) and run-on sentences don't make you sound very knowledgeable, either. You know, like in text books...
your funny that's the only thing people can do once defeated. Insult, they don't know any better..
Are we in Grammar school here?
Sorry, but it's hard to keep up with Three Languages.(spelling & grammer)
When you can do that then you'll know what i'm talking about..

You're the one not grasping concepts. And your poor grammer is evidence that perhaps you are the idiot.

Actually, I don't feel defeated. If anything, your lack of grammer skills only reinforces my belief that you're not particularly knowledgeable or thoughtful, and I'd be willing to bet that other people reading through your posts would draw the same conclusions. The lack of intelligence you display in your posts also leads me to believe that you're the one who will never know what the rest of us are talking about. If you can't even spell, how are we to expect that you really know what you're talking about in this or countless other matters?

All the large font isn't going to help you convince people. And I've proven plenty. You say biowheels are bad, yet you have no first-hand evidence to support this belief, just anecdotal information. Me, and several others, have said that we've actually used biowheels for long periods without any problems. So who has proof and who doesn't, chief?

I think the original purpose of this thread was lost long ago. What ever happened with the poster's cloudy tank? Was it bubbles, was it the skilter, what?
It's easy to get drawn into these arguments because we all think what we are doing is what works best and whatever everyone else is doing is wrong. Give me any opinion and I guarantee I can find a contradictory one somewhere on this message board. I can even remember a thread that ended up being closed by the moderator because it got so nasty, and that was over water changes, something that some people (myself included) would never dream of disputing.
Now that I've sounded all high and mightly, I'll go on to say that I'm actually pretty proficient with the English language, and in my instructions for my Penguin it says to brush and/or lightly rinse the biowheels in saltwater if they need it. I haven't looked at that instruction book for a long time, so that quote is not verbatim, but I do know that I rinse mine in the saltwater from my tank because of those instructions. I think the bottom line is that when we have an opinion on something, we are going to think it's right and we're going to do it, no matter what anyone says!
Anyway, I hope the poster was able to glean something from all of this. It sure has entertained me!

What a tragedy.
Apparently we can not discuss these issues productively.
I too hope that the poster got something, and that anyone reading realized there are MANY options and their tank is different from the next so READ and make up your own mind.
Thread closed.
