Congrats!

Did you say you have 2 males in the same tank? How big of a tank again?
Yes, right now they're in my 14G. This won't be for long though. They've been together since day one, I happen to know where they came from now. They don't fight at all, but I am watching them. As soon as I find a healthy female, one male is going back, OR I'll put it in a different tank.

Any updates on these guys? I'm following, this may be a fish I am interested in getting someday, they really are amazing. Have you started the weaning? How are you planning on doing that?

They're doing well. No aggression, even with two males in the tank.
I've been following Matt Pedersen's guides for weaning these guys. I haven't found a female yet, and thus far, the two males are not really interested in frozen or live foods. I'm going to shake out some chaeto from my refugium later to seed this tank with some pods (I have a baby mandarin that needs to go in this tank for a little while until I can fatten him up some) and hopefully they'll go after the pods. They eat the acro's and monti's like crazy, but all my corals are healthy and thus far have been table to regroup from the nipping, which has saved me some money (and my husbands precious SPS LOL).

My next attempt will probably be some shaved salmon. Thus far the only thing they've been interested in eating is an algae sheet that I held in front of the powerhead and broke up for my hermit crabs and my Starry Blenny. The one male will eat that and not mysis

The new addition. I know who previously owned this fish, so no, I did not QT him or drip acclimate him. He's about 1 1/2" long but already eating frozen :)

Well, if it makes you feel better, it's not an ORA Mandarin. Someone I know breeds them locally, and I've been waiting for this batch to be ready for quite some time. This little guy is the smallest I've seen available in the hobby so far and I'm thrilled that he is eating frozen already :)

Mine, my precious, favorite fish was just consumed by my lta. I really think my clown has gone rogue.
I hatch brine daily and gave her tank a squirt or two a day of my excess. She would swim to the baster and feast. I also got her to eat frozen. I so loved that fish!

We kept our male green mandy for about 8 years...he was a real looker and an awesome fish. He ate everything his entire life, altho he did go a bit off his feed near the end of his life (you can see he's a tad thin in the pic).

weaning has been completely unsuccessful thus far and i'm really starting to get concerned.

So far the two males get along really well and are not fighting over the female. My hope is to convert all three and get rid of one male, OR put the one male in a separate tank. My LFS has offered me a huge sum of money if I successfully convert the male and give it to them for their display tank. I could really use the store credit and $ from them with the whole move coming up, but we'll see. I know I'm going to get really attached to them, since they are so much work. I'm having a really hard time getting them to eat anything besides SPS and it's really starting to get to me.

So do you have to get rid of one of the males now?
Good luck, and don't forget to show us a picture of her

Female died last night.
She was never really healthy from the beginning, but I took a chance anyways. So the hunt begins again....
