Naaahhh... you have it all wrong. There's very little money in protecting the innocent in court... there's just not enough of them.

Now the real money is to be made by cheating other dirtballs out of their money. It also has its virtue because the dirtballs usually got their money by screwing somebody else. And then someone comes along to screw my client out of it's hard-earned money and it's loads of fun.
