Hell freezes over before this momma drives a minivan. I've done a trip from NC to St.Louis and back with 7 month old twins by myself in a Z71 4x4 Burb. Could not have gone any better.
Now my kids are the ones that half to worry about it but being able to send the wife to the back of the van for a sandwich and a cold beer has its perks. Of course I didn't actually drive the van around town either

u must not know many engineers or programmers. every comp geek i know - and that's a LOT, b/c my father is an engineer & my husband is a programmer - owns at least one mini-cooper. they hold meets to show them off.
....i dont actually know ANY women with mini coopers.....
I sort of agree, the original were ok, for the metrosexual European that had more than superficial taste in cars. By no means a Shelby but not bad for a european who wanted to go fast in the narrow streets of the Old World.
However today, I know alot of guys who drive a Mini, but it just isn't the same imo.
The mercury Cougar is a girls car.
I think a jeep is a good transgender vehicle. A CJ for guys and the new crap for girls...

Nano brings up a good point above... any woman car is also appropriate for a gay man. Bottom line is, if you're gay, you can be as girly as you want to be.

Yea, it was just a shot a some people.
I dunno, just difference experiences I guess. I remember when they were first debuting, couple of the girls in our high school click wanted them pretty bad. Little 2-door hatchback doesn't exactly scream manly IMO.

lol when they were first debuting? How old are you? You'd have had to gone to HS in the 50's.
On a serious note there is a lot of history tied to that car. Many buy that car because they are pompous you know what. But because of its history it gets a pass.

Are you calling my XJ a chick mobile ? Because I tell you there is nothing meaner in my hood than the dreaded BLACK TOOTH GRIN!
33" mudders and a cherry bomb exhaust is not feminine . Nor is the missing passanger seat and the door you have to lift up to slam shut .
Little kids run in terror . Mother dart out to curbs to save their children . Its like a 2000 pound pitbull with hemroids .
Its the BLACK TOOTH GRIN!

The BMW built/owned MINI (noticed the captial letters, vs. the old Mini) doesn't old a candle to the old car. Something 'girls' wouldn't drive to what it is now.
I will correct myself though and allow the the Cooper S's to not be soley chick cars. I didn't factor in that the Volkswagen GTI is a little 2-door hatch, but whose customer base is almost entirely male. I attribute this to the sporty intentions of the GTI, which the Cooper S has sporty intentions as well. The regular MINI's are still chick cars tho.
And the S's could use a bit more performance too, watch the S get smoked by something that could carry it.

I knew what you ment, just poking a little fun at you.
I only rate it as a non-chick car because of its historical roots, (if the car was called something else), and not a "remake" then of course it would be a chick car. Can you say PT cruiser...

Knight, sorry those are gender specific vehicles. They are all driven by women about 5'2" and shorter.
What? The photo clearly demonstrates otherwise.
She was landed the night before, and it eyeing the truck before the ride home...

Nah, she is saying "I had to buy the dude a 73" TV and PS3 before he would finally buy this for me"

BTW don't you love the difference between the single guy thinking and the married guy thinking.

Take it to Em Mimzy..I am an engineer who owns a Cooper S and bought it because I didn't see any point in putting $125 each week in my diesel crew cab pickup truck. Let someone else feed the beast. Those of us who would rather keep our hard earned $ in our pockets are driving more economical cars such as mini coopers, beetle and jetta TDI's and even an occasional civic. Oh by the way, that truck sat on the dealers' lot for 4 months
. Good move on my part.
