sounds good to me. rinse the vinegar well... until you can no longer smell it and then let it air dry.

Don't know... until it dries.
The size and dimensions of the glass are better for fish. Also cheaper. The only drawback is it will be heavier if you have to move it.

You could probably get away with a coral catshark... check out CDubbs pics... he's got one in a 125.

I would stay away from CC with aggressive tanks . just because the fish are messy and food gets trapped in CC.
Banded cats / bamboo sharks are kinda touch and go . I would hold off untill you have a little more experiance. perameters can be good and you'll still have the shark pup die. they are very touchy. any stray current in the tank will kill them. they can go on a hunger strike and not eat thus killing them . If you really must get a shark its best to wait for your tank to be well established at least six months of good perameters. if not longer.
I belive the name of the book is Scott michaels aqurium sharks and rays (if I'm wrong please corect me ). Pick this up before getting a shark this is a good place to start .

To hatch a banded cat egg takes very good water maintanance and a lot of patientce. No offense ment but you seem impatient and you might want to rethink shark keeping. They are more of a long term project. I jumped right in and got one and I regret it. I'm now close to a year in to planning/ordering/set up of my shark tank. It takes a lot of thought.

How long has it been up and running and what other fish do you have in that system? Also tell them you want it but ask them to hold it for you a week or so. in the meen time ask them to feed it so you can see . if it doesn't take the food don't get it . just because they say it eats doesn't make it so.
