well i bought my first zoas today n there already opening. when i dipped them i couldn't believe the tiny little bugs that were swimming around, creepy, so glad i where gloves. bill109 u said i should really look at them before putting them in i guess, what should i be looking for,the bugs i saw in the bottom of the cup were so small i had to put on my readers to see them better, they r fast! so i'll try to get some pics n see what happens from here.
just look at them make sure they look healthy. if you dont dip make sure u take a good hard look at them. make sure these are no predators in there. u dont want to introduce any new predators into your tank.
if you dip, just make sure its a "solid" dip. and not a dip, count to 3 and out they come.
you should be fine with the dip you have done. but all im saying about the checking them out is, know what your looking for this way if you are in the store u can look at them and say, hey there is a nudibranch on these. etc.
i took some new zoas home from my lfs, got them in the car and looked at the zoas in the bags. there sitting in the car i found a nice little patch of nudi eggs.. it wasnt good at all. so i went back in and just swapped them with something else.
