Cleaner Shrimp "babies"

Wow, this was wild. I was doing the water change in our reef tank, during which I shut down the filters and powerheads. I noticed one of our cleaner shrimp had eggs underneath the day before, but hadn't seen her today. Just as I'm about to add the water, I see a cloud of tiny particles come out from under the rock. I looked closely, and saw that they were tiny, tiny shrimp, swimming like mad all over the place. When I saw the cleaner shrimp later, the eggs were gone, so I can only assume they hatched. There were thousands of these little things swimming everywhere, and the only reason we noticed was because the water flow in the tank was off. Our cardinals had a field day sucking up the little shrimp, as did our mandarin.
Question: Anyone have any idea how to raise baby cleaner shrimp? I could have scooped a cup of water and had 20-30 in there. Anyone have any luck with this? Anyone know references on where to find out? Thanks. I would give out cigars, but I don't have 20,000. :)

You can set up a small tank with normal DSB and rock, and an air-driven foam filter. This would be a suitable housing for the offspring. If I can remember the website, someone posted not long ago, someone was attempting to raise cleaner shrimp...

I'd appreciate it if you could find it. I have everything I need to set up a little separate tank for them...the problem is I have no idea how/what to feed them.

I read somewhere that Cleaner shrimp are difficult to raise and take a long time time to grow, reaching only 1cm after 3 months.
Good luck though.

That thing is so cute...Have you had any offspring in your tank reach adulthood yet, Bang? And would you be willing to sell some?

I've had Peppermint Shrimp make it but no Skunks (yet). I'm still tweaking my proceedures and maybe by this time next year I'll have a proceedure to publish. Please with me luck :)

That's awesome, good luck on that. I can only imagine all the hard work that you must put into that. Do you sell the peps? And are they for sure the species that eat aptasia? As there are many different "peppermint" shrimp, some do and some don't. If you ever get to the point where you can raise skunks with good success and wish to sell them, you have a guaranteed customer right here!
