Here are pics at about 1 week in the 29G.....The white on him seems much better....the orange
....I think this is going to take a while.....but IMO he is not worse so that is good...he is still very active and eats well too

It may be permanent tissue damage that will not regenerate scales (such as you see on sharks or whales who have been in serious aggressive bouts); though I expect some more improvement over time. The white flesh exposed definitely looks better to me.

But he has always been so active
that' what I don't get...heck if my skin was peeling off I'd be in the corner crying...haha
Funny thing though....he will come to me now....I mean I can put my hand in there, and he will come to it (not to bite it) I think he knows I am his "caregiver"
who knows....but he trusts me

He does look better.
That's kind of neat. All my clowns know about me is that I give them food.

I'm a little concerned....he now has a spot on his eye....it is very hard to see, and believe me....I took 100 pics just to get these. I know the 2nd pic is blurry, but I thought you could see the spot better. he is till eating and acting fine though

He is going to be super vulnerable to infections without the scales. Give him some food soaked in fresh garlic.

OK....I'll start that right away....good thing he is still eating good, cause I still use the selcon, zoe, zoecon and vita-chem (alternately)

That is going to help! As Beth said, he will be prone to infections for awhile. Keep some Maracyn 2 on hand just in case. Building up his immune system is the most important thing at this point. Add the fresh garlic and keep a close eye on the water quality. Be sure there are plenty of hiding spots too.

I know it has been a LONG time since I updated this thread....but recovery has been VERY SLOW....here are some updated pics.....she is not 100%, and you can see teh dark areas are where the white exposed areas were....so she has no more exposed flesh :) from a distance she just looks darker

Her initial reaction was OH NO....NOT MORE PICS...LOL

Pretty much scared up, but looking and doing so much better. Looks like he's in his new home too, minus abusive wife. How does he like the other tank?

Do you think the scars are permanent???

Well I feel a lot better that there is no exposed flesh anymore.....that really worried me. I was always scared that an infection would begin. Thanks for all your help BTW

You're welcome. He is still vulnerable. I'm sure the skin he has grown is pretty flimsy.

I am pretty proud of my little trooper.....from a distance you can barely tell anything was wrong
