Clown seeking to be hosted by mushrooms

Well I may have the only clown on the site that seeks mushrooms as a host and here is the proof. Now my dear friend Henry (spanko) has in fact hosted many parties that have featured mushrooms.
The eyes of my clown fish in the second pic tells it all you can almost hear him saying “damn thems some good magic mushrooms"

you know what aggravates me My clowns have 2 not 1.....2 BEAUTIFUL BTA's right under where they host a FREAKIN U-TUBE

and you guys have these clowns that will host anything

Yeah it seems a waste to put shrooms in a fish tank to me. I am familiar with the frozen mushrooms of this variety.

These of course were prior to my interest in saltwater tanks, but non-the-less were interesting things to learn about and from.

What kind of mushrooms are those? The corals, not the magic shrooms.:laughing:

I call them Green Hairy Mushrooms. Not sure if that's right.

There's a good place to start, did you get then from lfs or online? I want a coral that looks like a green carpet anemone, because I can't do corals and anemones at the same time. Anemones always win the fight

Ask Joe if he'll send you one of his for a small donation. Mine came on a piece of live rock, it wasn't purposely purchased so to speak. There's a similar looking Mushroom called an Elephant Ear. I recommend avoiding those if you have fish.

I think what Bang has pictured is most likely a Rhodactis sp. mushroom

Rhodactis sp plus one AKA hairy mushroom, as are mine

A strange thing is that these mushrooms have been known to capture and eat fish; one would think that clowns would be genetically programed to stay away from them

YES, Henry told me about this when I got my first rhodactis, BUT I have never had a fish loss issue

Great pics! My clowns would let anything host them. For now they share an anemone. They do venture to anything they think has tentacles.
