The BCS makes me made. Instead of the two BCS busters playing BCS schools they play each other. TCU vs FLORIDA would be a great game. Cincy vs Boise would had also. That said 12 games total I will see

Well, you can't really screw Texas out of the game with Bama, (and I'm from Fort Worth) that would be almost as bad as last year with that whole texas ou debacle. personally I think it is a toss up too between Cincy and TCU then Boise State, and Florida. I'm not sure between those bowls who would be number the number 2 game. Lets face it, if any of those 6 undefeated teams had faced each other before Saturday's game, it would have been a toss up. Basically Forida and alabama played a playoff game on Saturday. the BCS needs a playoff. Plain and simple.

Love Bowl Season.
Unfortunately I think the BCS got it as right as they could, I see your point about the 2 small conference schools, I would have loved to have watched Boise get trounced by Cincy too. But Cincy/Florida is a great matchup. I think it's a pity to have to see the Big 10 get 2 schools in BCS games, the Big 10 is easily the worst of the "Big 6 Conferences" this year, but the PAC 10 beat up on each other, the Big 12 was really down this year, and nobody else distinguished themselves. The 6th place team in the PAC 10 beat the 1st place team in the Big 10 and did so on the road with a true Frosh QB starting his 2 ever game.....Oregon is going to pummel THE Ohio St.

Rueben, seriously?? You really think 1 loss Texas got screwed last year!?!?!? The only team that got screwed last year was USC. Texas barely beat Ohio St here in the Fiesta Bowl, that was the same Ohio St team that was completely overmatched against 1 loss USC, Ohio St didn't even belong on the field with the Trojans. ESPN kept telling everyone how the PAC 10 was down all last year, then they go 6-0 in Bowl Games, while they kept saying how great the Big 12 south was; Texas Tech gets beat, Okla St gets beat (by Oregon), and Oklahoma gets hammered.
You can argue all you want that Oklahoma shouldn't have been in the title game last year, but USC is without question the team that should have played Florida last year, not Texas.

BTW, Alabama opens as a 4 point favorite over Texas

Texas wins over lowly Nebraska on the last play of the game, Alabama houses Florida, and Bama is only favored by 4!!!!

Bama and Texas is the true National Championship. SEC and Big 12 are far superior than pac 10 and big east. ACC is a joke until Miami finishes its comeback.

My point was though. This is how the BCS can tip toe the Non BCS conference debate. Utah hammered Bama last year. Boise beats OU few years ago. Now two busters and they play each other booooo.

The BCS refs gave the Nebraska game to Texas. They have shown through tapes of similar plays during that game like that last throw by Texas whereby the clock continued more that a couple of seconds before the ball was ruled dead. You honestly think they would've called that game like that knowing what was on the line for Texas? It's called $$$$$$. The BCS knew if the Championship matchup was going to be TCU vs. Bama, they'd lose tons of revenue from attendance to advertising. It's also a 'payback' to Texas for them getting jumped by Oklahoma for last year's title game. The entire BCS system is a crock.

Look, I don't care how you slice it. But OU should have NEVER played in the Big 12 championship. They LOST to TU and had the same record. So if you want to argue that USC should have played in the title game instead of OU, that is something else. But Texas should have played in the Big 12 championship. And from there, well, that is another argument.

Agreed. Bama comes out and thoroughly works Florida, and it's 4 points?!? That's an insult...

Agreed on the play (not so much the conspiracy). Watch literally any game, college or professional. There is always
some extra runoff of the clock. McCoy's postgame interview only further pissed me off too. "Yea, I knew how much time was left.. .Totally..."
Hopefully Mount Cody will get a nice shoot in....
BTW, anyone think TCU got penalized for a bye-week? TCU should be playing Florida, not Cincy....

You didn't follow college football if you think the Big 12 was better than the Pac 10 this year, or last year for that matter. The Pac 10 is 10-3 in Bowl games the last two years, the Big 12 is below 500 and very overrated. I would argue the Pac is stronger from top to bottom than the SEC this year, you really think USC would have finished 6th in the SEC??? No chance. UCLA finished 9th in the PAC, they beat Tennessee (middle of the pack SEC team) on the road.

Texas Tech only lost one game in conference and beat Texas, how do you leave them home based on your theory. Somebody had to go, 2 teams had to stay, they were all 3 overrated.

The PAC 10 was either really great or really bad this year. We will see how the bowl season works out but I think it's really good, perhaps the most competitive in the nation.
Bama by 4 is a head scratcher but then again Texas was playing a very good D and their D played great as well. The SEC doesn't play the great defense they did years ago so will bama he able to hold down Texas? Hard to say. Should be a great match up. As far as the last play I don't know if there have been other games ended on such a play but if you are ever going to allow reviews that was one you would look at and by the book time had not expired.

Some good and interesting games there.
I think the BSC sold out (big surprise there) by pairing Boise and TCU in a bowl. If those teams think they are worthy of BSC play why not give them a chance to prove it on the field against teams from BSC conferences. BSC Sucks.

Bowl games only mean you won 7 games during the season. That doest make you a better conference. Any team can beat another team in college ball. USC always loses to some sorry school in its own conference. It was Stanford then Washington. Then Oregon State. If that is your measure for success in that conference please start over. The SEC had two schools 12-0 entering last week. Top to bottom as a whole the SEC blows away any conference. They have a ton of schools and each week they battle. If USC had to play in that conference every year they would be like Arkansas or Ole Miss good every once in a while but far from domination. Your Conference has had zero parity for the most part. USC wins em all but 1 and does or doesnt play for a National Championship depending if the better conferences beat each other up. How is that a good conference?

Your lack of logic is stunning
