I live in the now, you should join me here. USC is now the team that gets the most players to the NFL.
Nobody has put more QB's in the NFL than my UW Husky's. Only school ever to have 5 former QB's start in one week in the NFL.
Number 1 rated QB this year by most of the draft guru's is none other than Jake Locker, though I hope he comes back for his Senior year.
Well, for what 2 years? While UW has put a lot of QB's into the NFL (one technically as a WR), they don't have the greatest records there. You have to go back to Bulger to find one with some longevity in the league, and back to Warren Moon to find a "good one." Though really, what primetime school doesn't have their starting QB's make it into the league? When was the last time a Florida QB didn't get drafted?
While the last few years USC has been really hot, and they have probably do have the most in the NFL recently. Though that's not exactly what I, nor crypt probably meant. I'm not talking about draftees that ride the bench for 4 years before moving on. I'm talking about All-Pro, HOF worthy players. No other school is close to UM's first round streak draft record.

Well, let's get this out of the way first, for offensive collegiate football players to get into the NFL (one could make the defensive argument as well), and not only that, but be primetime players, one school honestly stands alone.... And they ain't in either the SEC or PAC-10;

Don't they also lead in players in jail?

Bulger went to West Virginia....Mark Brunell and Chris Chandler were both very good QB's with excellent longevity, Damon Huard was never great, but a very solid back up that performed well as a starter as well. Warren Moon is a HOFer. Tuiasasopo, and Stanback will never set the world on fire, but Tui was awesome at UW when they beat 1 loss Miami in 01,
, and UW ended up with one loss only that year as well and won the Rose Bowl. Brock Huard was a bust, and Billy Joe Hobert won a National Title at UW, or Co National Title that year with the U if you must, but wasn't great in the NFL either, but at least they made it there, Cody Pickett as well.
Is that enough UW QB history for you?

did Oregon State forget they had a bowl game tonight? Good lord. That is a pathetic showing by the Pac 10 tonight
Looks like most the people in the pickem pool weren't sure about that one, no one expected a blow out either way.

Both teams are solid. But it was like 44 - 13 with 3 minutes to go. OSU just padded stats and the score board after that

The Beavers went from a 4 point loss to one of the top teams in the country for a chance to play in the Rose Bowl to playing in a high school stadium, in 45 mph winds, playing a team playing their "SuperBowl", even the announcers said they didn't want to be there. That was a 5 day vacation to the Vegas for the players followed by a game they could care less about....Not trying to take anything from BYU, they are a good team, but OSU wanted to be at the Maaco Bowl about as much as I want to be at work right now.
As Colin Cowherd said this morning, the PAC-10 is horribly run, or the Beav would have been playing on New Years Day in a much bigger Bowl.

Well make any excuses you want for them The PAC 10 was embarrassed by that outing. The ball doesnt roll your way you act like men and go play the game. Not act like children and show the nation how pathetic you are. Now they screwed themselves next year in the ratings and possibly potential bowl invites. Who wants a team that barely travels and gets beat by 40?

I'm not a Beaver fan, but stuff like this happens every year in Bowl games....Football at a high level like those 2 teams are is very dependent on intangibles. You can think what you want, but 2 fairly evenly matched teams, 1 is thrilled to be there, the other is not, the team that feels they are playing for something will win pretty much every time.
Cal will get thumped tonight too, they pretty much mailed in their season after the beating from Oregon when they were #4 in the nation....Intangibles sometimes win out over talent.

A good coach will get his team to show up. I fully expect USC to beat Boston College and I guarantee you that isn't a game they wanted to be playing in.

Even Mike Riley seemed like he was disinterested in the half time interview. I'm not defending it, but it's a fact, that Bowl games don't always bring out the best in teams.
USC has a lot to prove after such a poor season, no matter what Bowl they are in. And they still have future NFL players all over their roster. I also fully expect them to destroy B.C., USC didn't lack talent this year, they lacked leadership from losing their O and D Coordinators to Washington, as well as their QB and 9 starters on defense to the NFL...Say what they want about Barclay, if Sanchez, Sarkisian and Holt are there, they would have competed for a National Title this year, and Sanchez likely wins the Heismann in a year where nobody really stood out.

How did 3rd ranked Alabama from the mighty SEC do against Utah last year as a 10 point favorite? They got destroyed....The Big 12 has had their share of beatings from the Mountain West as well...OU vs. BYU this year. Colorado St. went 0-8 in conference but still beat Colorado from the Big 12. Mountain West should have an auto bid.

As a fan of college football and a Canes fan for over 25yrs the Pac 10 will never get the attention it deserves when they only have 2 schools worth national attention the ACC SEC can take there weaker teams like UNC and Vandy to the Pac 10 and they would run the table. That is why there will never be a playoff system cause teams like USC and UCLA will never survive playing those southern powerhouses stick to beating up the Big 10. LMAO
