Considering getting a cat

My wife and I are big time cat lovers. All of our kitties are strays that we took in. We have three and they are worth their weight in entertainment value! They love to wrestle and play in the house - it's hilarious cat antics 24-7. They are all declawed and it has saved our furniture. Also, they are indoor cats since they are afraid to go outside and bc we had one get hit by a car. I don't ever want to have to go through that again. If you do decide to get a cat, they are pack animals and get along great with a friend. Some are more social than others though. We have one that is more defensive and sticks to herself. It may be because she was traumatized as a kitten. We found her at a carpet warehouse in a role of carpet hiding and starving. Check out these pics:

Squidd,, ROFLMAO!!! YUP, She's on the pain meds, and if you ever had a c-section, you'd know why.. LOL
And new2, I HOPE SO with a $800.00 vet bill... HAHA
She's a Himalayan cat with a very "smooshy" flat face and her nasal passages are VERY TINY so, We had to make the openings a bit bigger to help her breathe better and stop ear infections.
Poor thing.
Also, we are Jewish and it seemed like the thing to do.. HAHA, nothing personal there, but in our family at graduation, you got to pick; A Car OR ~ A Nosejob.. LOL TRUE!! and BTW, I took the CAR....

Anyone else have pics of their cat playing with their fish?? I bet that would be a fun thread....

i love cats so. Ive had cats much longer than ive had fish. I only have one cats who is realy interested in the fish. The other ones have a more relaxed "live-and-let-live" aprouch. But trust me, even if the hood was off you wouldnt have any problem with the cats swatting them. They hate how water feels against their fur.. Dont believe me? Give your cat a bath and youll probably die of blood loss from his claws.
To scotts.... oh yeah? i used to have a cat who actualy went to the bathroom in the toilette. We could never teach him how to flush though

MY CAT DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SHe had heart failure yesterday, I rushed her to the hospital and she was blue and she died.. Her heart was 3x it's normal size! GEEEEEEEESH!

I am so sorry, Kim. She was a beautiful cat and you obviously loved her dearly. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I have two cats, indoor/outdoor kitties. They ignore my tank for the most part. Occassionally they get inside it to see what's going on.
Kim...sooo sorry to hear about your cat. I used to raise persians. They're so sweet and even tempered. Though, my best mouser was a persian.
