I am so sorry for your loss, I understand how you feel. They start out as pets and before you know they are family.
I had never lost a pet before so it was really hard for awhile.
I am sad but happy too. He always want to be outside so I used to make him stay inside because I was afraid something would happen to him but he was sooooooooo miserable being inside that I finally started letting him out when he wanted to go. I didn't get to have him very long but he got to live his life doing what he loved. So he was happy while he was here
I'm so happy for you that you will be getting another kitten.
I will get another cat also. But I am going to get one from the humain society. Colby was a cat we brought in during a storm and decided to keep and give him the best life we could. So, (I know this sounds cheesy) I feel like the best way to honor him would be to save another cat. So if I get one from the humaine society, especially if it is one that is over a year old and not pure bred I would be taking a cat that may have been there a long time otherwise and opening up a spot for another cat that may have been turned away other wise. So I could possibly help to save 2 cats. 1 by bringing one home with me and 2 buy opening up a spot for another homeless so that he/she may be adopted also
