Ok, I have decided once my tank is cycled, I want to get a stalk of hammer coral, a 5 pack of green ricordea, and 2 clownfish. Would this be to much for my tank, or would it be all ok? I'm still up in the air about the lighting, I'm really leaning towards the ecoxtoic led light, but would I need more than one?
Well, if you have 2 Ecoexotic Panorama combo modules in your 29 gallon tank there will be no limit to the kinds of corals you can keep. I currently have 4 SPS pieces and they are doing well so since your tank is 11 gallons smaller than mine I'd imagine they'd do even better in yours if placed in the right spot.
Also, keep in mind that Hammers sting just like Frogspawn do... but since Hammers and Frogspawn come from the same family, you can have both close together and they won't attack each other. But also you only need a few inches of space to keep other corals out of their reach, so spacing is not really that bad of an issue as people make it out to be. Heck, you might get lucky like me, for some reason my Frogspawn doesn't mind if other corals are next to it... hasn't stung anything even thouth some thing are only 1 inch away from it.
