Tank is looking great. Those are some huge snails. Nice shot of the shrimp too.
I get all my stuff from Orange County. I live in Huntington Beach. I would recommend Tongs on Magnolia and Warner in Fountain Valley; thats where I've bought most of my frags and my torch and my flame shrimp. Everything seems to be doing well.
You can also check Pacific Reef in Fountain Valley; I believe they have a store in Orange too. Some of their stuff is a little pricey though.

Thanks bro. I think that I am eventually going to get a few pieces of flatter rock with a lot of coraline buildup to seed my other pieces. The flat will also give me spots for corals.

Just found out that I may have to either move super soon or have some random dude rent out one of the rooms in the house. If I have to move four fu***ng fish tanks I am going to be pissed. All purchases have been put on hold until I figure out where the heck I am going to be in a month.

Seriously bro I got my 60g FOWLR, the 24 nano of course, and then a 30g fresh, and a 55g Cichlid, plus my lil 10 that I cure rock in and make saltwater in. Hopefully I can find a house and have it close escrow before I gotta be outta that place. Cause I really really really do not want to move them twice. And I don't trust anyone to take care of the salt tanks if I left them for a while. This blows!

Aside from the nano chillers does anyone have any recommendations on keeping the temp down in my 24g nano cube. The other day I came home and it was like 85 in there. Granted I live in So Cal but it wasn't even super hot. I'm thinking of yanking the heater out and only running the pc's at night. Any suggestions or real life experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Good idea, thanks! How much did you pay for your hang on fuge? Would it fit with the stock hood, obviously it may not close all the way but how thick are the hang on parts?

So in my effort to keep my tank cooler I have done the following:
Taken off feeding lid.
Will only run lights early morning or late at night.
Switched to a less wattage fully submersible heater (submersible has nothing to do with the heat its just less stress for me)
Also temporarily put chaeto in DT and took out chamber light. Don't think that this is causing any heat but wanted to see how much the stuff would grow in the DT.
Will find out if any of this helped today after work. If not while I'm on vacation I'm going to rig a fan on a timer to blow over the top of the tank while the lights are on or during the hottest parts of the day.
Parameters all good except for phosphates which are at 1.0

So I'm on vacation in Orange Beach, AL and I keep seeing stuff in the ocean that I want to put in my tanks. They're are sick creatures literally walking/swimming by your feet. Good news on the heat situation, buddy of mine checks on my tanks while they are gone and having the fan rigged on a timer and the lights on late at night has kept the temp from rising too much and there are no casualties in that tank or any of the others.
Not going to be able to add any livestock to the tanks though until i get into a new house. Sucks, but oh well. Going to get some phosphate reducer in the back though.

Sounds like you got the temp thing figured out. Let me know when you get back what average temp your able to keep. I may have to rig a fan up in the next few months, we'll see.
