The Supreme Court ruled against the death penalty for child molestation.
Justice Kennedy's opinion for the majority contains some troubling thoughts
"there is a national consensus against capital punishment for the crime of child ----."
"the death penalty should not be expanded to instances where the victim's life was not taken."
Kennedy isn't fit to sit on a traffic court. National consensus? Are these guys pollsters now. If they are going to make decisions based on national consensus income taxes are history. And Kennedy's opinion on what the proper punishment is shouldn't enter into the decision. His only role is to decide if it is allowable under the Constitution. Hell, I'm not even sure if I favor the death penalty in these cases.

i would ask if he even has kids of his own but he probably ate them
i think it should be put to a national vote... what happened to our choices anyways . what kind of person thinks someone who R.A.P.E.S a child should be able to live out their days

I wouldn't pay anyone I would do it myself cause it would be a slow draw out process befor he moves on to his resting place.I think they all should be put to rest.Once a pedifile always a pedifile.I had one in my neighborhood and he used to walk early in the morning when the kids would go to school.I walked up and told him I catch you walking by these bus stops why these kids are out you are going to wish the cops had you.Needless to say I never seen him around the bus stops in the morning after that.

I am afraid if someone did that to a family member of mine the offender would be praying for death once I got ahold of them.
I think what the state should do is start color coding their prison uniform by offence committed. You can say what you want about convicts but child molestors don't have a particularlly pleasent stay in jail once they are found out.

definetly agree, you can imagine how mad i was when i found out the army lets them serve and live on post with all the moms and kids here alone

I think they should get the death peanlty or locked up for 50+years. I tired of this 2 year in jail and 1 yr probabtion and soon as they get out they're right bakc they're. And if they child is killed Hang Em...
But hey Army Wife I was just down in Kileen about 2 or 3 weeks back. Didnt know u stayed there. that Army Base is huge. Went down there to visit my girlfriends sister

yep this is where i am, it was very intimidating when we first moved here i was like holy crap its a city in a city! got lost a few times, still have only seen the main part of the post but what do i need to go to the rest for? what really sucks is the food here. only know of 1 good restaurant with good service and food! its a nice place if you have to be here but i wouldnt recommend it.

i dont like kids very much.
but people who hurt them deserve to be publicly castrated, flogged, and then stoned to death by the child's community, in that order, on the same day.

U cant levae the base? my girlfriends sisters husband is in Germany serving. They ised to live there to on the ase, but moved back becuase he was supposed to come back in Oct, but now he has to stay for like 2 more yrs now.
It seemed like an alright little town was only there for like 2 days, then off to San Antino n Dallas, n San Marcus lol

ya i can come and go as i please. i live on post. it would have been nice to get stationed in germany! me and my husband are from the houston area like 45 min. north of, except our little town was nice and you could leave your doors unlocked and open during the day, you cant here. too many gang soldiers (im serious) and s.ex offenders, this is on post or soldiers themselves. we wanted to get away and see the world and they station him 200 miles away....
sucks.

It's truly sad to me that it turned out this way, and I hate to make anything political here...but it is.
The vote was 5-4.
The 5 Democrat versus 4 Republican. Nuff said.

I think child molestors should get the death penalty. Since they don't, I would hope that once they get to prison it becomes common knowledge what they did and they get the due justice they deserve.

a friend of ours is a corrections officer for the state of NJ. He assures us that child molesters are...molested.....
and how PRISON is less "cruel and unusual" than the death penalty is BEYOND me. Prison is hell. HELL.
