dimartini, dont get the biocube....horrible F...in tank. I hate every bit of my 14gal biocube. At first I thought it was the best..yea right. The design of it is what I hate. Plus, you cant even get your hands inside the back chambers unless your a 10year old. The nanocube has done a great job with design wise. I would not buy a biocube ever again. They have 2 intakes. If you ever have an anemone, it may go inside through the bottom intake right into the chamber as mine did. You know whats stupid? They glued that intake. I had to break that bottom intake to get him out because he was stuck inside the intake and didnt come out as he came in. Horrible tank...
but then again, its my opinion...

Thanks for your input, but I already got it and transferred everything. The back chambers are a bit small, but I'm able to fit my hands in. I like it so far.
Trust me its waaaay better than my old cube master. My cube master light kept going out, and they would replace my hood and the same thing would happen again. A few days before I got my biocube The lights went out, but my lfs didn't have any more hoods and he said it was going to be a week before he could get one so he gave me a full refund on the tank and sold me the biocube... because of the stupid cube master My daisy polyps aren't looking so great anymore, so I hope the better lighting will help them.

I also picked up a sun coral. I'll take some more pictures when they open up. Here also some pictures of my cute little kitty Daisy, who tried to go after the clowns.

Hi there!
You have an amazing tank! How many fish do you have in your 12g nano?
How long have you had this tank for?
cheers

Were you the guy from Canada who emailed me?
I have two true percs and a yellow watchmen.
I think my tank was up and running for about 8 or 9 months. I just switched from my cube master to this biocube a few days ago...thanks for the compliment!

Yes, I sent you an email a while ago. Thanks for getting back to me. I will be setting up my tank within the next few days. It will be a 15 gallon and hopefully it will be ready by this weekend.
cheers

are your coral and rock touching your side walls? If they are, how do you clean your walls? My rocks shifted and now I have a spot my magnet scraper can't get to and it drives me crazy because I can't clean it!! I'm thinking of changing it around and getting some new coral, but I have to get my calcium up before I get any more.
I love your tank!

How did you transfer everything? Im guessing you obviously used the same rocks, same water, but what about the live sand?
I heard if you stir up the sandbed, it will cause tanks to do mini cycle (due to the nitrate buildup under the sandbed)
I hope your tank wont go into a cycle and kill everything. Cool sun coral, I got one myself.

I have spots that I can't get the magna float to. I guess it doesn't bug me that the coraline grows on the side. If you have algae just get some turbo snails...it's a lot easier for them to get to the spots that you can't reach.

I transferred everything to buckets and then I very carefully added the sand with a big container. I added new sand on top of the old sand, and then I added everything else.

Hey DeMartini,
Thats a great looking nano. You have a great variety of coral in there.
Be careful with those sun polyps, though. they are actually cave dwelling corals that require absolutely no light to survive. They DO need to be fed as well. Try one of the phytoplankton mixes on the market.
See if you can get it into the little cave in the center of the tank. It would look awesome!
good luck & i hope i didn't overstate the obvious

Thanks for the info. I do know that they don't need light. I have an idea of the spot I want to put it, but I have to move things around, so for now it's there. I plan on feeding it often. I’m sure it will do well. Thanks!
