WOW, just stumbled upon this thread. You have an absolute amazing tank
Very nice ricordeas, definitely one of my favorite corals as well. Keep up the good work.
Oh, you wouldn't happen to have any good LFS that you could recommend in the bay area? My friends and I drive up there often and are always looking for new places.

Thanks! =)
Here's a list of some of the LFS I go to. I think most of them have websites.
Aquarium Concepts in Dublin
Ultimate Aquarium in San Mateo
New Alameda Aquatics in Alameda
Atlantis Aquarium (they are very overpriced on everything, but they do carry some rare corals) they are in Hayward
I also buy a lot of my corals off of people from craigslist. I've gotten some great deals from people there. =)

Hey DeMartini, About the Ultimate Aquarium in San Mateo. is this a good lfs? I and a few friends are going to be going to the bay area fro a convention at the end of October and my hotel is about a block from this lfs. Do they have a good variety and are their prices any good?

they aren't my favorite, but I live like 4 blocks away from them, so I go in there often. Sometimes they get in some pretty nice corals and their prices are decent.
if you don't mind driving a little then I suggest going to aquarium concepts. They have TONS of beautiful corals and their prices are good ( when you ask the manager). if you're into zoas, acans or blastos then New Alameda Aquatics is the best.

Thanks a lot!! We will definitely be giving those places a look. Now we have a bunch of options. Until now we had only been going to King aquarium in San Jose, and another smaller store off of Saratoga Blvd. in San Jose as well.
Thank again!

DeMartini - Im having a problem gluing a frag to my LR. Do you actually do the gluing underwater? I took out the zoo frag, dried the bottom of it as best as possible, put a couple drops of super glue on the rocky bottom of the frag, and put it in place. It didn't stick, so I added more glue to the part that had glue residue on it, and tried again - same result.
How do you do it exactly?
Would I be better using hot glue?

Are you using super glue gel? If not, thats your problem. The gel will be much easier. Do it outside of the water. Also after gluing it put a couple of drops of salt water on it; it will help it cure faster.

have you seen any yellow coco worms out there? I have been looking for one for like two years an it seams the best place to get one is on the coast. do you think if I called either one of them there and asked them to order it for me that they might could get one? if that concepts place can tell me they will have one, I will take a taxi to go there.

ooo a yellow coco worm would be awesome! You can try calling the manager at ultimate aquarium in San Mateo... I doubt he will be able to get one. He gets coco worms in quite often ( he sells them really fast), but he's never had any colors besides the two that I have.... otherwise I'm sure I would have snatched it up lol.
I'm not sure if ultimate aquarium takes special orders, but you can try.
I can give you the phone numbers if you need them.

that would be great. I have like 7 or 8 coco worms but they are all pink, white, or stripped. I have only ever seen pics of yellow ones but I am determined to get one. This is one of the few pics I have seen of one. you can see why I like them so much...

Aquarium Concepts: 510-583-9000
