My boyfriend got me the new 50 gallon Cadlight Artisan tank!!!! I got the bonsai idea from another forum. I'm not done with the rock, but here it is so far. He took the pictures too =)

OMG I'm on the egde of my seat. Subscribing to this thread, I can't wait, you're tanks are alwaya so beautiful. Your ADA is what made me turn my big pile 'o LR into two beautiful little islands. =)

Incredible. I've been doing rock column sculptures, but I've never thought to do something like this. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Sooooooo........ Equipment list? Lights? Stock List?? Nosy people gotta know!!!

i will do the similar rock work after i have new tank.i got the inspiration from ching chai... less is more. i am sure your tank will be great like the old one.

novahobbies, Here are the specifics.
24x24x20 with Starfire glass tank
12 gallon refugium
bubble-magus protein skimmer
1000 gph return
I will be getting two MP10 pumps and a 250 watt HQI aquamedic spacelight EX. I'm sure I will be adding more things down the road.
Stock List:
Mainly SPS, anthias, wrasses, my picasso pair and my tailspot blenny.

Fantastic. Sounds like you've got a good plan going. I would love to keep a group of Evansi or Sunburst anthias myself. Can't wait to see it come together!

Nice Lauren. Been cruising the N R site for the bonsai idea? Gonna put some Euphyllia sp. on the "branches" of the bonsai?
Beautiful tank can't wait to see your artistic abilities tranform it!

That's a neat idea. I have a couple of bonsai trees myself. They probably play a part in making my reef look how I like it to look, subconsciously.%%

De I don't know how involved you want to get with the bonsai idea but you can do something along the lines of one of my bonsai trees with wire and then spaying a closed cell foam over it and come up with the same look as the tree
