If it makes you feel any better (actually it will not) I have had 7 of them jump. My first two dies of unatural/natural causes in a months time. 1 jumped and I think broke his back against the hard top. The second jumped "out" of my storage bin when in hypo. Who would have thought a goby could make it up and over a 12/14" wall of air? 1 jumped into my overflow and died of afixation from the water preassure against my drain pipes. I thought that was a fluke, got another one and it did the same thing. I made sure any fish that did that again would safley make it to the filter sock. All was fine with the next one, for 2 hours and jumped out the back of my tank. I leanred to cover the top but had a small hole in the back, thats when another one jumped through that. Okay, so, I covered the back to and the newest goby jumped through the "less than" 1/4" netting. I was like, WTF!?!?!?
I am now on goby #? with the top on as tight as a drum and very very fine mesh on top. Figures, he stays on the bottom no matter who chases him
