Does this affect a cycle

Imo good flow will keep the cycle even in the tank, and no dead spots.
If you have dead spots you can make the cycle last longer.

the ammonia is bad for them, thats why its not recommended to use them to cycle.

my guess would be why it would cycle faster is all the water is getting around the tank more thats why its recommended to turn atleast 10x the gallons, like you would want 100GPH water flow in a 10 gallon tank

Yes, it cycles faster with better water flow. You are correct that increasing the flow increases the contact of the nitrogen cycle components to the bacteria in the rocks/filter material.

Alright for all the info guys, sorry I wasnt replying last night cause I went to sleep early. But all I have is a Mag 5 Pump coming from my Sump to the tank and thats it.
Thank You guys a bunch

Take the fish out and take them back to the LFS. You shouldn't be cycling with fish, it's cruel and unnecessary. You can cycle with live rock or a raw cocktail shrimp from the grocery. The reason they were acting weird and turning colors is because ammonia is toxic. Their life span will be shortened and they may not survive, if they're already showing signs of ammonia toxicity.

No no no I didnt have fish I know not to put fish during a cycle, its common sense. Like for example when a cat Pee's and you get close to it the smell of the ammonia burns your nose so imagine that same stuff in your room for days and days straight im sure its gonna kill your sineses. So I was wondering cause my cycle is taking forever. I have a 55 gallon long and basically no flow, I also hava about 25 lbs of rock.

3 months isn't really enough time to gauge anything. And although they may appear
fine, their gills have been burned and lives have likely been shortened. Chromis, clowns, and damsels are all members of the damsel family and they're hardy, which means they can survive some more adverse conditions, but it doesn't mean they're indestructible. Most fish won't survive a cycle, so consider if it can kill a fish, what does it do to fish that survive?

Well I just bought a Koralia #2 that pumps 600 gph plus the return pump from the sump that pumps 500gph is this enough or should I add at least a Koralia #1 for safe measure. I see decent amount of surface tention but not like large current shifts. And I was wondering, I see this type of film on-top of the water what is that? Should I buy a HOB skimmer or just a Sump Skimmer?
