As long as the eel is well fed a clown might work. I think you'd want a bigger one though. I kept a large clarkii clown with mine. The clown was pretty aggressive which is why he was moved in with the eel. T

I have 2 Cardinals and that works well for them.

Had 3 chromis but down to 2.

2 is my lucky number, I guess.

Had 2 anthias but they both died. They are a harder fish to keep.

I have a 100 gallon. Depends on you tank size and which fish is your preference.

You can try 3 or maybe even 4. Get them as small as you can. You may end up with all or you could end up with one. Just a gamble you gotta be willing to take.

My 3 were besties for a few months then bam they started picking on the smallest one till he was no more. The 2 now seem content with one another, but I know it could change at any time.
