Emperor Angel dying.... need urgent ATTENTION

Hold on... Hold on guys.
My tank was in perfect balance with all those fish for 3 years. I strategically overstock the tank and have Zero Ammonia and Zero Nitrite. Nitrate was in check too.
Water change in every 3 months but no problem. My healty brittle star and urchin and a few snails can testify that for me.
Check this out. A month ago before the outbreak of ick caused by a newly added royal grammar.

Those 3 percula clowns were in line fighting with the 2 GSMs.. However, after 2 years of experiments of taking them in and out and rearranging landscape, I finally found a way to bring balance to the force. One year ago I introduced 3 sergent damsels and a mirror at the back. Since then they lived in a harmony.
Side note, I trained my Green Mandarin to take frozen blood worms.. Kinda achievement...
thanks

blood worms
they are not suitable for any sw fish, and I highly doubt can keep a mandarin healthy
the tank is overstocked.....whether or not you want to see that or not....it is not a good environment for those larger fish

In an earlier post he said it was a 72 gallon display tank and a 10 gallon qt... obviously way overstocked, and with fish that are way to big to be in a tank that size...

No. The angel left at 6pm last night.
DT is 4 ft long, with sump 20g
Been running for 7 years.
Overstock point taken. Now without the angel, the only oversized item is the naso tang.
Thank you guys

Well I am sorry to hear about the angel...sad to say though not surprised :( w/o the proper environment or way to treat it, it really had no chance
as Beth has asked.....your next move is to treat the rest of your fish for the ich they all now have.....a 10g qt will not handle your fish though....a suggestion would be to get a large rubbermaid (or 2) to use
read thru the disease section about setting up a qt/hospital and ask as you need to.....BETH Is very good at this

These topics would a good place to start to learn about your problem, and what to do about it.

https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/wiki/quarantine-or-hospital-tank

Basically, read through these topics in order and you should get a good handle on what needs to be done. Its a lot of work, but there really is little choice.
Having a quarantine tank as a hobbyist is about as important as having salt mix for your water. Adding new fish wo QT first is a ticking bomb that will go off.

Sorry to hear that it's gone...
I'm in the same boat as you... I guess I lucked out(?) I got my fish when they were tiny and just stopped growing... I know it's cruel but i had no idea at the time and I trusted LFS WAY TOO MUCH... Now I'm too attached and won't ever let it go...

I will stop for awhile. At least ick won't kill "that fast".
Let me read through all articles and buzz my question if any.
thank you very much again

If you want, try quick cure. It contains formalin as well.
I have always used that and it has served me well over the years.
