When I end up with "store credit" from a return at a store that I hate/don't shop at/can't find anything good at, I use the money on the store credit gift card to just buy gifts for that person the following year or any other person that I don't feel like spending actual money on, but need to get a gift for. Sounds horrible, but at least it doesn't go completely to waste.

LOL....Whenever I get gift cards, I usually end up spending it on one of the kids or grandkids

LOL....Whenever I get gift cards, I usually end up spending it on one of the kids or grandkids

If everybody bought from Amazon there would be no stores to window shop or hang out at the mall or probably much of an economy at all.
Support the economy.
I can buy coral and fish for a little less online, but at my LFS I'm supporting someone who is trying to make a living and offering a place for me to go and talk fish and corals and have amazing things to look at.
This hobby would be alot less interesting if you didn't have a LFS to go to to see new things you didn't know existed and talk to friends.

Re-gifting a gift card. I like it. Unfortunately. I think Nick still would have a problem with this. Why buy a friend or relative a designer shirt from Macy's with the gift card, when he could easily buy them a 'no-name' brand shirt at Walmart for half the price?
