FedEx Has RUINED My Holiday!

FedEx is pretty much the WOST I think..EVERY package I have got with them or sent out they have messed it up in some way. Dont mean livestock I mean anything. Either they deliver it wrong. Once they tell me I can come to the facility to pick it up..Drive 45min to get there then they tell me its on the truck for tomorrow and They cant get it out. When i order ANYTHING these days I pay extra and will try and make sure I never get anything with fedex.

For me FedEx has been the best by far. Their express delivery guy goes out his way to make sure that I get the package instead of him just leaving it on our porch. He'll first knock on the laundry door and if I don't answer, he'll come and ring the doorbell at the front door. UPS express lady on the other hand just leaves the packages on the porch.

delay wasnt weather related. Package came this morning. fedex guy simply said he couldnt get to our side of town. it only takes 10 minutes to get from one side to the other. jawfish and foxface are holding on for dear life. acro is dead
I'd stick the acro in anyway, they may brown out but they can make a comeback from the death you never know.
They are tougher than you think

stick it in a qt tank and see if it comes back.
I got it on a frag rack now. Store already gave me a refund for it. Its pure white but you can still see the blue spots where the polyps are.

Did you order from us? If so, call or email us and we'll look after you.
No one even acknowledge SWF .
That’s pretty cool for them to come on here and make sure its not one of us, I’ll give them credit for that. Thats great business in my book.
Good job

Someone already said it but don't give up on it. They are pretty hardy. I just about killed my first colony. Realizing I was killing it two weeks later, I readjusted it and it came back just as bright.
Good luck with the jaw and foxface, its sickening that a fish would have to suffer like that. No ones fault, really. Its the holidays and F-up ex really has no way of knowing what has to go immediately and what can wait and what takes priority. The drivers can only go so fast with out killing someone or themselves.
It could be a Christmas miracle.

this is a miracle so far. I knew the acro wasnt going to survive 2 day shipping (but its still in the tank) and I highly doubted the fish would unless they were kept inside last night. Not sure how the foxface is doing since my friend picked it up. he said it was swimming but breathing hard and not eating. My jawfish is not swimming around but it is eating. So we'll see what happens. I still dont understand how it didnt get delivered though. I mean ya its close to xmas and all but still. he was in my town which is TINY and claimed he never got around to this side.

I had the same thing happen. altho my fish didn't get on the plane...not enough room fed exp said.....Well I lost 2 seahares, 5 peppermint shrimp, and a neon goby...still watching my other stuff...I did get these from swf.com, and I have no doubts they will credit what has died....I plan on reordering the seahares...altho I guess I have to wait until I have more stuff to order...I really don't want to pay another shipping charge.

as an employee for fedex, i am pretty sure they will not pay for the lost items. if they were not aware they were "perishable items" meaning a delay in shipping would spoil whats in the package, i dont think their liable. probably the most you will get out of them is a payment back for the shipping costs.

As far as I know, all larger online *fish* stores clearly mark on the package that it contains *live fish* and/or *perishable*. At least every single one I've received, they have all had that text in a red label with white text.

Some day many years from now you will have a job with deadlines and quotas . People will preasure you to push beyond what is reasonably expectable all because they want more from you . When this happens you will learn that there is only so much you can do and sometimes you have to draw the line and know when the day is done .
Honestly , Its Christmas time . Maybe the driver was picking up a second route to help pay for Christmas or heck to even just pay his house payment . Maybe something in his life has just taken a drastic change and he is having a hard time adjusting to it . You don't know . Give the guy a break .
During the holidays Fedex, Ups,Usps..... Are over whelmed with packages . Everybody thinks theirs is EXTREMELY important and should be the one that is put on the truck and delivered first . My suggestion next time would be don't order live fish to be delivered the week of Christmas .

My package had livestock all over it...didn't matter...I have nothing but great respect for my fed exp drivers..when they finally got the package they went out of their way to get it to me asap.
It wasn't the driver, the fed exp people never put it on the plane...My point was that when you pay extra for priority...it should be shipped first...regardless...

Don't order stuff that needs to be over nighted to live during christmas. Not only is it going to get delayed no matter what promise made other wise. It is cold that will only compound the problem.

I do however agree they should deliver on their promise.
