Thanks! I really thought I would be pulling out a dead seahorse this morning. Very happy to see him up and moving around!

This is why we must QT !!!!!!!
(to future people reading this thread) being shipped in a dark bag of water and going from a bare environment to one with plants and rocks and weird stuff can stress out young tank raised horses.
Glad he is doing much better.

Wow, I've missed a lot here! All I can say is, Amazing Tank! You really built a beautiful rockwork and display setup. I'm glad to hear your sick one is up and doing better, too!

Hey, T! They are in a QT! I did place a rather large rock in there(mostly for the bactria) Do you think it was too much?? Let me see if I can find some batteries for my camera and I'll give you a FTS of the QT.

Thanks, Nova. I haven't been doing so well updating this thread. You do a much better job of keeping things interesting!

I was wondering about the QT also because it looked like you had sand in your DT and the pictures of the ponies had no sand! It was good to DT them just in case it was something more serious than stress!

I think it is fine. I was mainly posting for new people who may read this thread.
Just trying to remind people that captive bred horses are raisied in a bare bottom plain tank and they can get freaked out pretty easy.
When I first started, I didnt know a lot, and had a horse quite eatting because I just put then in the display with rocks and plants and gobies. It didnt make it.

Cool! Just wondering what you thought! As promised FTS of QT!
Also, to follow are several pics of my "not doing good" horse. Please, take a look and notice that he never curls his tail. Not to swim or hitch. Is it possible that during shipping, he got pinched or something and his tail is broken??
I am extremely concerned about this and that I have not seen him eat.
Almost broke my heart earlier because he was laying on the bottom of the tank again. The yellow one came over, slid underneath him and pushed him up with her tail. Wish I had taken some pics. I was sitting there with the camera in my hand, but was so amazed that I didn't think to shoot it.

What is the temp in qt, try and get it down as low as you can. Do you see any white areas that arent coloring?? Can you get closer pictures??
Will she let you pick her up, see if she will grab ahold of your finger. Her not hitching concerns me.

you may need to set up another qt and treat this horse for bacterial infection.

I tried, but can't really get a good pic. Don't notice any white spots, except, now that I look a little closer, the very tip most point of his tail does look white!!

This sucks, all I can think of right now is Meowzers thread!!
Is Ann's screen name just Ann??

Temp is 70 degrees, but I still added a clip on fan. I think it could be 68-69 degrees if remember right from past posts.
