BUT the bucket is from the tank with the higher nitrites......put it in the tank with the better water now.....BUT acclimate it back to it

The bucket was the water that i took out before i did the 1st water change so the cycle isn't broken down at that time. I guess.

you can't leave a fish in a bucket with no filtration and no water movement.
the lack of surface aggitation and low amount of surface area will not allow the CO2 he spedns to exchange for Oxygen, so he will die of CO2 poisoning very quickly, that is if the ammonia caused by his urine and fecese that has no filtration to take care of it doesnt get him first.
Another reason why you need powerheads in your tank.

Ohh I see, I thought you might jsut have him in a bucket.
they optehr thing you are missing is the liverock which also does filtering for you. you migth be ok for now with just the filter, but I'd try to get your tank figured out ASAP, more water changes soon, and get him back in there.
make sure in the bucket that the powerhead is pointed towards the surface of the water enough to cause some waves on the surface, this will improve surafce area. The more waves the better.

Ohhh... ok. I am trying to work the tank asap. I confused though. If there is a nitrite spike but i don't detect ammonia how does that work beside the fact i stir the old stuff. So after everything settles what am i not suppose to do and what i wait for?

ahh ok. My nitrites shot back up to 5.00 ppm i think or either 2.0 ppm they both look the same. I need to do the testing in the morning.

well if your original test was correct at 5.0 and you changes a certain percentage, the new number of nitrites will be less that same percentage.
you need a series of small water changes to take care of the problem.

yes they will do that if you don't provide them empty shells that are a bit bigger for them to grow into. Thats the way of life.

I need some thoughts on this. I do not have anymore of the original conditioner i used to setup my fish tank which is Seachem Prime. I have another water conditioner that i use for my freshwater fish but i don't know will it work with salt water fish even though it says it for freshwater use. I don't think is a name brand seeing how SWF does not have it nor pet smart. Only ***** has it. It's called Jungle Start Right. Other things that kinda worries me is that i don't want to use to different brand of condition, well what i meant to say that the DT has prime as is conditioner. What are your thoughts on this?

Sorry Didn't see this reply till now o.o. I currently have a 29 gallon biocube with two percula clown fish, green chromis, bicolor blenny and flame angel fish
