[EDIT: Nevermind, somehow I missed the suggestion up above...]
I'd suggest something (depending on the size of your fish) made out of a 2 litre bottle. Top cut off and inverted with the neck cut back as well. Make a funnel where they swim in, and usually can't figure out how to get back out. I used them on my Corydoras all the time. I got the idea from a Cichlid Forum...

The way that worked for me was to get all the rock out. It is a slow, long process, but it worked.
LOL....Do you know how much rock I have in the 225G...NO WAY...and I also have corals set in them now too...That would never work for me
thanks though

Bottle is in...2 minutes and a devil was in it...before I had a chance to get the bottle out iut had flipped out and somehow got out
I think my husband may have made the hole in bottle too big
I'm watching closely now
Took bottle out....fish were just playing with it...we added something to make the inner hole smaller.....I put pellets in....nobody seems to care...sigghhhhhhh
Darn yellow tang has gotten stuck in there twice...I don;t want her to get hurt...
ahhhh as I was typing this she almost went in again.....geez....

I don't own any damsels. I was thinking about buying one but from all the horror stories I have heard I have no reconsidered. Good luck catching them.
Good idea....I will say that the yellow tail blue damsel has been a model citizen in my tank...then again it is 1 1/2" and most of the other fish are MUCH bigger
Sorry, I know you are trying. The only advice I have, you have heard a million times........The key to anything in this hobby is.........patience!
But this helps too!
This is my first choice for those ^&*@#$. My dad has a bunch of those hooks and thats what we use to catch bait when we go fishing. They are so greedy so you may get lucky but careful with the other fishes. After a while I have learned to only get the green chromis.
