Don't forget to spray/wash their leaves with RO/DI water as salt builds up on the leaves, you have to spray/wash the leaves every day to every other day, no less than every other day if you want to keep the trees healthy. Also, do not prune/break the roots! You will kill the tree if you do.

Why did they die?
Shock with new tank and water par's changed more then they were used too. I also think that some of them didn't get any food sense the tank was much larger then they were used to and were scared to go find food.
Any thoughts on your part?

Monti (well I think that is what it is) is all white now.

Good news is the ditoam bloom is over and most of the are going away. Put my 36" coral life light fixture. Now it is really white in one spot. Still need to adjust my enegry saver blubs so they woun't touch the water. .................. what else....................

What ever you keep your tank at is fine. About 80F or so, a few degrees difference won't matter.

It would take 1-2 months for them to die of starvation if they were fat and healthy before. My guess is shock/stress.

Ya, good point. Probably stress. Going to wait probably a month before I start adding more things, so the tank can balace out. Totally just noticed CK's post. Why RO water? Wouldn't regular be fine? They are in fresh right now, will they still get salt creep?
Also do you guys and girls think I should have d r i n k i n g c o as signture?

Once you start adding salt, that's when you should start washing/spraying the leaves with RO/DI water. Stop drinking coffee kid, its bad for you. :p
