keep an eye on CL for chillers. sometimes I see them for 200-250 at 3-4 years old.
But then again...other times I see them for $1500. a DIY project for under 200,they exist. Just make sure you aren't running the lines through copper tubing as sometimes called for.

Sorry about your loss kid. It can be hard to keep anything cool in the 702!!! Tank looks AWESOME though!!! I hope mine looks as good when (if) it's up and running.
Fish are much more tolerant to copper than inverts and coral. Cleaner shrimp work really well it just takes longer. They don't eat the parasites they just pick them off b4 they have a chance to complete the "host" stage of their life cycle which is necessary for them to survive and reproduce. Hopefully that made sense

I was thinking about that but if they are that old (not that they are to old)you don't know what might go on them.
That is why I asked about copper. I knew it was bad but just wanted to hear some thoughts on it.

Thanks Jas,
I have (or had) a cleaner shrimp but he wouldn't clean the fish and he always hid and only came out at night on certain days.
Thanks All.

I think at night is when my cleaners do there work. there is not much going on in the tank and they can take care of business. And that is really the only time i see my cleaners, except on the rare occasion they venture out in the day time.

How many cleaners do you have? Don't you also have a trigger? Won't that make them hide more too? I don't know but if something were to try to eat me I would hide.

The trigger goes looking for the shrimp and waits for him to hop on and clean him. I was worried that he would eat them too but I have no problems.

I have 2 cleaners

Cool, thats good. I would love to have a trigger but tank is kinda small for one, and I wan't to keep some small fish.
