Just use a small diameter hose to syphon out the water and replace at water change. I like to also treat the tank with prime when preforming hypo
Lol, I know how to do a water change. It's just 50% is a lot of water to change at once, and I was curious whether you had any suggestions as to how to do it without stressing the fish too much (I'm more talking about when I add the new water, not draining).
What is prime?
And will 1.009 sg do the trick?

The same applies IMO to removing and adding a small diameter hose will slowly take out and then add water to your tank. You can do this with the lights off and the room dim. I would also just go by salinity when checking and I am sure you know why

So am I adding water to the tank and draining at the same time, or drain then fill?
I'm not sure what that is in ppt, but I'll check. But is that salinity low enough to kill the ich?

young jedi..... Lol... Prime is an excellent water treatment to add with ALL water changes IMO. The bottle is red and white and states it removes chlorine and ammonia ( which realistically does not. It mearly binds to the ammonia and makes it less toxic to the fish. Your test results will tell you that your ammonia is high but it mearly bonds.
and it helps promote the production of slime coat for the critter. I use use it with every water change.
Glad to see everything is going smooth.

Is Stress Coat pretty much the same thing?

Okay, I'll pick up a bottle on my way home.
She doesn't seem to like nori. I'm rubber banding it to the PVC, which she is always picking at. She will pick at the nori, but just spits it out. Should I try come garlic? She eats everything else I've thrown in, mysis and multiple kinds of flake.

Any ideas as to why she doesn't like nori?
The pet store in my town has Ocean Nutrition dried algae, should I try that instead?

Try crumbling the nori so it is like flake food. That might help, if that doesn't work you might have to try a couple to see which one your flame likes.

Okay, did the water change, and she seems very appreciative. So far things appear to be going very well. My salinity is in check, pH is in check, so everything looks good.
She still didn't eat any nori, even when I fed it like flake. She bites it, then spits it out. She just doesn't like it. So, I went back to mysis, which she ate very aggressively as always.
I've had her for one week today.
