I don't see how I inspired anything...Acrylic51 (Shawn) started the whole thing for everyone to come together on the project, he is and was the inspiration. He worked so hard on both sumps, and really created a work of art.
Me...I was just the very happy recipient of everyones generosity. I love the fantastic Corey gizmo you created for my return. Thanks to Meowzer's search, I have the best skimmer I ever owned. Al made the replacement fuge and gave Shawn a break, Slice made the boxes, Monsenior was so good and offered to drive all that way and also set the sump up. I sure wish I could find that poem.
I think it was the willingness to do something kind to help out a fellow hobbyist and a friend that is what was inspirational about it. Nitrates were the enemy and you were the muse. Shawn, was the valiant knight of the story who stood up to the tyranny of uncontrollable nitrate levels. The rest of us were just like the little sheep following him along into battle and happy to do so. :)

Well...I sure got a beautiful sump/refugium out if it, and made a bunch of good cyber frends. Nitrates...I still remember the daily water changes that didn't help at all. Yep, I needed a night in shinning armor....our little adventure sure made a great story...it still gets the blood to boil thinking about the UPS gorilla villians.

Didn't the whole thing turn out to be bad test kits or something? lol

LOL...Yep. API test kits, when I finally listened to BTLreef and got a SeaChem kit the nitrates were 1 not 80+ I had three different API kits, and they all read the same, so I was sure my kit was not to blame.
That did not deminish an iota of Acrylics project, nor the outcome. I can't help but be amazed that when he saw my struggle with trates, he stepped up and offered to build me a sump. He is an amazing person, and he brought out the best in all of us, because everyone that joined in should the tender heart they had. That build will forever be one for the records on this site. You played a major part.....you huggable you!
